This is a fairy large resort with a number of different styles of rooms, at different price points, so when you're reading these reviews, it's good to keep that in mind. We were in a beach front suite, on the second floor of the building (the second floor is clearly better because there are vaulted ceilings and a balcony with a glass front to block the wind). It had everything we needed, including a well functioning kitchen and a very comfortable bed with good quality bedding. The fire place was a nice touch, as was the fact that you could get more specialized, nice cooking equipment from the main office if you wanted it. They also had some yummy frozen food from Vij's in Vancouver and Sobo in Tofino for when we didn't want to cook. The views are wonderful, and the beach itself is great. We spent many hours walking and watching the surfers, who were everywhere. And although we couldn't bring our dog on this trip, I appreciate that they allow dogs. It was a great holiday in a beautiful part of the world, even if the weather most didn't cooperate (there are also raincoats in the room for guest use).

Super suite. Everything we need. BBQ pit was a real plus to do a unique dinner. Facilities were great. Supply of raincoats in the suite was appreciated. Yes, it is RAINforest!!!

Beach is awesome walk especially the rocks on the right side when the tide is out. Look carefully for the creatures in the tidal pools.

I would go back in a heart beat.

We stayed in a lodge room in April for 5 nights. Loved the ocean view and balcony to sit out on. The room was well appointed with a fireplace and a small kitchen. The kitchen was good to have so we could cook some seafood. In the lobby they have some frozen dishes and soups. We tried the lasagna and it was very good. The staff are so friendly and accommodating! There is a small hike up to Sunset Point from the resort, which was great! Would love to see some chairs on the beach to sit and watch the surfers! We loved our stay and look forward to a week next year and would like to try the Lighthouse Suites .

We stayed at the Pacific Sands Beach Resort May 27-29th and had a fantastic time! We would definitely return again in a heartbeat. We had originally planned to only stay one night but as soon as we entered our room, both my husband and I had the same thought "we want to stay longer". Jasmin, at the front desk, went out of her way to arrange it so that we could do that and keep the same room.

It was a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the ocean (Cox Bay). It was great to have a full kitchen at our disposal and next time we go there, we will bring supplies to cook up some of the fresh seafood you can buy in Tofino. Everything was just perfect! While we were staying there, it felt like a retreat from the rest of the world, like we were hiding away, and it was so relaxing.

For location and value ($180 a night for 3 seniors in month of May, before taxes) the Lighthouse Suite we stayed in for 3 nights was perfect for us. This was our third stay in a period of one year and we plan to return many more times. For dietary restrictions we need a full kitchen and every unit at this resort seems to offer one that is well equipped. Every unit also has an ocean view. The long sandy wind swept beach at Cox Bay (fun to watch the surfers!) is just steps away and very accessible and safe for all ages. Great for families, romantics, seniors and pets or for the athlete wanting a brisk walk or run! This resort has its own rain forest trail for its guests to access the headlands at Pettinger Point where one can watch the giant waves break over the rocks or for the camera buff to find that perfect sunset shot.

Room Tip: If staying in the 2 storey Lighthouse Suites: the upper floors have a better view. If one fligh...
