Thanks for such a positve review, we have had so many amazing people stay here, I am sorry I haven't responded to more.
If you think it, you can do it!
this is the place to stay in tofino it's cheap and clean for a surfer who travelled the world.
the guesthouse was my home away from home, for 3 weeks it was great too have a nice and warm bed.tuffino it a hard place to live and even harder to do camping, the guesthouse is well situated near the grocery store, the only bar in town and some good coffeeshop. i met good poeple there and i made great friend.
a la prochaine fois martin
Big bedrooms with soft quilts, big wooden table for "family dinner", fresh coffe in the morning, advices and sharing.. We feel quickly like home in this hostel which look like rather more a family house. And everything is brand new and well renoved. We spend some days there : Mika and Nike were really welcoming and very helpful in planning our journey in Tofino. We were in the "trouble double bedroom" wich was pretty luxious. Thank them for the good moments !
I got referred to the guesthouse at the reception of the close-by, fully booked hostel. To be honest, it was a great surprise. This guesthouse has only 1 dorm and a few private rooms. The atmosphere in the house is really great. Nick makes you feel at home and tries to get to know everyone a bit. There were potluck-dinners and in the morning there was always tea and coffee, this created a great atmosphere and I met some great people that way!
My sleep quality was quite poor, but that was due to snorers in the room, and they do have earplugs for sale ;)
I would recommend this place to my friends (which I already did)!!
Perfect place to stay! One of the best hostels I've stayed in across the world. It's not the Ritz but our room and the bathroom were clean, the kitchen in the centre of the house means it's easy to meet other guests, there are little touches like tea and coffee for you to help yourself to and post-it notes by the phone etc to make it feel extremely homely. Nick, the owner, is always happy to give good advice about what to go/see and when's best to do it (without shoving it down your throat). There's fresh coffee brewed every morning and events for guests to enjoy if they want, like Saturday morning pancakes or music evenings.
I would 100% recommend this hostel - we met lots of friendly people over dinners or a cup of tea, Nick has some good deals on local activities and we felt very much at home. Fantastic hostel!
We stayed at the Tofino Travellers Guesthouse for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We had the "Double Trouble" room with ensuite bathroom. The room was quiet, clean and with 2 extremely comfortable double beds. The shared kitchen was kept very tidy and clean, and the shared fridge worked well. Using the barbecue on the deck in the evening with the view over the water was just great, while having a few drinks. Also, great to meet travellers from all over the world. We had dinner with all guests on our last evening there - spontaneous fun with everyone chipping in something. The guesthouse is like a very small hostel (aprox 10 -12 people max there when we were there) but has a much more personal and friendly touch. Relaxing and listening to laidback music in the evenings after dinner was enjoyable. No tv, thank goodness.
Nick, the host, goes out of his way to get you to relax and enjoy things, and gives great tips on what to see and where to eat in Tofino.
This is a special place, ideal for young at heart travellers who like to meet other travellers and share their stories, and who are looking for good value in a lovely destination.
Our stay in Tofino at the Travellers Guesthouse will remain memorable and a highlight of our trip to Vancouver Island.
