“Great Restaurant & Hotel with surfer views”
Reviewed 3 May 2012

If you are lucky enough to be having dinner on a sunny day you might take in the sunset of your dreams, complete with surfers! I spent two days at LBL; my spacious room had an island view and I opened the windows for wonderful fresh air and great sleeping. The great room with fabulous views of the sea is where the guests gather for meals. Included breakfast is a nice variety of buffet-style options and a menu of additional choices for pay. The evening dinner includes a sushi menu, regular menu & wine/beer menu. My waitress was familiar with the sushi options and suggested the LBLRoll. It was beautifully presented and delicious! I also tried their Margarita Arribiata Pizza and the Poutine while I was a guest....both are satisfying and the Short Rib Poutine was new to me and very hearty! The reception and front desk were pleasant and helpful and the maintainance of the property was top notch. I used the business center and found the computers a bit sluggish; wifi reception in my room was intermittent....minor issues that should be addressed.

Just amazing! Go during storm season, I loved the hot coffee by the beautiful windows looking at the waves.

I had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed my visit. Thank you so much for everything, even coordinating the weather to be wonderful. I look forward to staying, tweeting and facebooking to tell the world how wonderful you all are again. Long Beach Lodge Resort ranks number 1 in my books.

Kathleen

Room Tip: Corner suite was lovely and sunny with a fantastic view of the beach & crashing surf.

We are experiencing our second visit to LBLRf. There are so many beautiful places in the NW to visit and my husband and I always say, "we must come back here!". Well, we actually did! One of the reasons being that they have lovely pet friendly rooms and we really appreciate that aspect as Sophie, our dog, enjoys traveling with us. The Great Room is truly a great room with expansive views of the Pacific, huge fireplace and lots of cozy seating. The food is also outstanding. It is a trek to get here, but worth the effort.f

Just wrapped up ANOTHER visit to wonderful Wet Coast of BC Canada.
Stayed at Long Beach Lodge for the 6th consequtive time in last two years! ---why fix what ain't broke?!?
Staff were on page for all our needs, even though they were at near capacity the entire time.
Super clean food from a kitchen that is always pushing the regional foods forward! We love the regionally focussed wine list and included daily breakfast buffet.
We stayed in a Cottaqe this time, and will do so again....you don't get to look over the ocean or walk directly onto the beach, but you get a large back yard deck and your own private HOT TUB!!!-----handy after a cool spring fishing sorte.

Only complaint we had for our 3 day stay had to do with the blinds in the cottage. Could never figure out how to open them..........

Thanks again LBL, we'll be back again, as soon as the accountant gets off our back for this last visit.

Room Tip: Cottages have hotubs! Lodge has beach views and some are walkouts to the beach!!

We had a wonderful time staying at LBL. The rooms were great - coffee maker (using coffee pods), plus a separate kettle and small tea pot were lovely. The gas fireplace was great for the spring weather, and the food and drinks in the Great Room were truly great.

The last couple times we've visited Tofino, we've stayed in gorgeous houses near Chesterman Beach - this was great, but we cooked (and subsequently cleaned) a lot. So if you just want to relax and not cook (and you're just a couple), I highly recommend this place. We also stayed at The Wickaninnish Inn years ago, but found LBL to be a much better value. If you don't need easy access to a spa, then LBL is definitely a better stay.

Room Tip: As many others have already mentioned, paying for a full oceanview room, is well worth it. Every mo...

This past February, after quite a number of holidays near Tofino, BC in the past decade, we finally stayed at Long Beach Lodge Resort! It was a remarkable time. They provided us with a well-appointed cottage with open access to their lodge with its beautiful Great Room. Their staff was the best: excellent: upbeat, personable and caring! All this in an amazing setting beside the ever rolling sea.

After returning home, I contacted Samantha, Guest Services Manager, and she went beyond my expectations in assisting me to book their facility again. This time it was for my sisters, my first cousins and me, six of us in total celebrating our annual “Cousin’s Retreat”. Last week, we enjoyed ourselves immensely for the five days we had together in one of the cottages, relishing in the wonderful ambiance that is Long Beach Lodge.

Thank you Long Beach Lodge Resort for another most memorable vacation!

Room Tip: Take a Kobo or good book and plan to curl up reading it in the beautiful lodge, with windows opening...
