A visit to the Tofino area should be on every Canadian's bucket list. You don't necessarily have to stay at LBLR, but if you do I am confident you won't be disappointed. The property is well maintained and our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Our "partial beach view" was still plenty impressive, so I can imagine that rooms with a "full view" must be breathtaking. The hotel has direct access to the beach and when you are done at the beach you are only a short drive from both Tofino to the north and Pacific Rim National Park to the south. We had a pretty good meal from their beach-side bistro but never got around to trying their main restaurant as their were so many options in Tofino. Only a couple small things that weren't perfect. Sound seems to travel easily through the hotel. Luckily this place doesn't seem to attract the kind of clientele who will be stomping around all night keeping you up. Also, the sliding window door facing the beach did not have a bug-screen. As this was the only window in the room it was necessary to keep it open to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room. Didn't think this would be a major problem since there are not a lot of insects in the area but we did end up having a couple winged guests join us and at least one mosquito bite. Other than those two little things, I would highly recommend a stay at LBLR.
