We stayed for 11 nights in July & just loved it. Easy trip into Tofino. Right on the beach. Helpful staff. Walkable distance to great food & ice cream. Fell asleep to sound of waves every night. Beautiful pool & hot tub. Maybe a little $$ but everything's a little $$ in Tofino, but SO worth every penny :)

It's really all about the location- slap bang on McKenzie beach which is to my mind the most gorgeous of all the beaches in Tofino and perfect for digging around in rock pools for colourful starfish and anemones. I've even seen a humpback breach about 30 foot off the rocks on a past visit. The cabins themselves are small but super cute and well kitted out and I didn't notice any noise even though they're relatively close together. Yes it's pricey for what it is, but unfortunately that's Tofino these days. Probably less ideal in wet weather although there is a small pool.

We booked an upstairs studio as the cabins looked nice and the location (beachfront) quite attractive. But at $239 a night, I believe that this was rather overpriced. The location is great, right on McKenzie beach. The grounds are well kept with nice grass, 2 large gas BBQs, an indoor swimming pool with an indoor spa. There also is a laundry. It is some 2min drive from downtown Tofino also.
The cabin we were staying in need some updating however. The front door didn't seem to fit the actual entrance (i.e. in Winter, the air would just come through the gaps at the top of the front door like there's no tomorrow). The inside was basic, the sliding door that gives access to the balcony almost impossible to slide (my wife couldn't slide it open or close). The WiFi was rather slow while pretty fast in pubs/restaurants in town so it isn't because Tofino is isolated.

All in all, I didn't feel like we got value for money.

Ocean Villiage is right on the water with great access to the beach. Great for bonefires! You won't believe all the stars in the night sky! I thought the rooms were charming, the staff was friendly and very helpful and Ocean Village is located close enough to downtown Tofino that you can easily leave your car at the lodge and use one of the many bike trails to get around the beautiful town of Tofino. Will definitely be a return customer at Ocean Villiage!

My wife, our 11-month old daughter and I stayed here for 3-nights in a 1-bedroom beachfront cabin. The staff were great. I've stayed in other higher-end hotels along Long Beach, but this one really suited us. Walk out the door onto a small patch of grass and then down onto the beach. We also walked into Tofino one day. We would, without a doubt, stay here again - thinking about booking here again soon!

We stayed two nights at this resort and the only negative point is that we in fact only stayed two nights. We will def come back...
Its location is superb. We enjoyed walking on the beach and we even saw two whales while drinking a glass of wine in front of our room. Ask for an ocean front room when you make a reservation as these are limitated.
WiFi was not working at all, but you won't need it if you can enjoy a magnificent view on the beach and ocean.

Perfect spot for family or group of friends. Location awesome. Units clean and contain all basic necessities. The owners that we ran in to on property were very nice & helpful.
Our experience was the office staff was brusque and disinterested in us and what we were hoping to do/see in Tofino area. We had contact with 2 different women in office & left both times with same feeling. Really our only negative during visit.
Because of the proximity of units and orientation toward beach, I would recommend this as a honeymoon or "romantic" spot. But for anyone else -- I don't think you can beat it!

Room Tip: We chose a 1 bedroom stand-alone cabin and loved it. worth the extra $!!
