“Wonderful getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

We stayed in the deluxe king room with a kiichenette. There were four of us (my husband, myself, and two boys). The kitchen was very well equipped and they had a BBQ out back that we used. The front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. The walk to beach took us less than 10 minutes and the walk out behind the Inn (5 minutes) led you to a beautiful estuary setting. Very peaceful and relaxing. The Inn is also walking distance to a small grocer, surf shop, coffee shop and take out.

Just enjoyed another wonderful stay at the Rainforest Inn. This newly renovated hotel in Tofino(Used to be the Orca) is the perfect spot to stay in Tofino.
Everything you would want in every way. Great rooms with everything you could possibly need. All natural amenities, REAL glass glasses and Ceramic coffee mugs. No paper stuff.
Located on the rainforest inlet, with beautiful trails thru the rainforest. The ocean is right across the road.Bike rentals on site.
Fantastic restaurant on sight, and they even have a shuttle van to get you into the village to Jamie's Whalewatching Station for great adventures.
I know people mention a lot about friendly staff on these reviews, but there is not enough I can say about the staff here at Jamie's. They are the kindest friendliest people I have had the pleasure to meet at any hotel.

Room Tip: I had a great room on the main floor with a gas fireplace and a kitchenette, with a door out to the...

My husband and I had a getaway weekend and were very happy with our stay in a standard 2 queen bed room. The room was clean with basic furnishings but included a microwave and a fridge with cream for your coffee. The staff and the restaurant were outstanding. The decor in the restaurant was very warm and and we loved the recycled beach garbage made into whimsical oystercatchers! We had an Groupon coupon for our stay and we would come back again. My husband says he would drive the 3 hours just to eat the Jambalaya! Chesterman Beach is just a 10 minute walk and Tofino is about 4 km.

Room Tip: We had a room on the forest side on the third floor. It was very quiet and had a great forest view...

Jamie's Rainforest Inn, being connected to Jamie's Whaling Station, offered us an excellent deal for a two-night stay, plus $50 Restaurant Voucher, plus whale-watching tour for two. The staff - Jill, Andrew, Anna, and Ryan - were friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful with setting up our tour as well as providing us with local knowledge of outdoor pursuits.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We ate dinner there too, and the cook accommodated our meal for vegetarians and it was absolutely delicious (ask for the mushroom burger-paddy!).
All in all, we were very pleased and will definitely stay there again on our next visit.

Stayed here a few times, it's getting better and better every time. Front staff, house keeping, management and all other staff are very friendly, helpful and very welcoming.
The rooms are brand new and clean. The new restaurant and the food have blown me away. Certainly did not expect my expectations to be surpassed by this much. Definitely a "must-eat-here-no-need-to-go-somewhere-else" kinda place.
Amazingly west coast! My advice to people: go whale watching, drink local beer and eat at Jamie's.

The room was tastefully decorated, not ornate. Very clean, comfortable, good toiletries, real cream and milk for the complementary tea and coffee.
The staff were universally friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and efficient.
One of the most impressive things for someone interested in protecting our planet, it is one of the very few hotels that actually does leave hanging towels for reuse. When asked to just make the bed instead of replacing the linens, they did!
The restaurant is comfortable, good food, unbelievably good in-house made kettle chips to die for.
We were there for the Pacific Coast Whale festival and the hotel participated actively in supporting this important event. They have an easy trail outside the back door that leads to the inlet and the protected mud flats.

While inquiring about rooms rates I was given 2 very different prices on 2 different phone calls buy someone who had very little manners. After check-in we realized that our room had no phone, no cell service and no wireless internet this left us feeling trapped. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night, we were not happy with one of our dishes. When we mentioned this to our server he was very hostile " Well.... What to you want ME to do?" We replied buy asking for a condiment. This took 15 min. After trying to pay the bill for quite some time or server ask us " do we want change? Or is the rest my tip?" Rude!!!

While booking our stay I made sure was very clear on all of my costs! While checking out the front desk tried to charge me for an extra whale watching, I informed them of my price quote that I had received ( twice) they accused me of being a scammer and refusing to pay for services that I have already received. I left the lobby in tears after this public humiliation only to realize that with in the hour they refunded me the first charge and recharged me the quoted price. When I called to have an explanation, I was told that is was there mistake..... I was right the hole time. Zero customer service !!! Making a woman cry while traveling with her children for your mistake isn't just bad service it is very bad karma...
