“Our week in Vancouver”
Reviewed 16 July 2012

We had 5 nights in Vancouver at L'Hermitage Hotel. Our stay was wonderful in every way. Every time we entered the front doors we were greeted by the staff with smiling happy faces. They would check to see if we had a fun day. The front dest crew and Raymond, the concierge, were there with maps, dining recommendations, tour ideas and any other kind of help we needed.
Each mornibg we had breakfast at Orangerie. There we had maple bacon, waffles, yogurt, home made granola, choice of juices and as many cappacinos as we could drink as well as fresh fruit etc. and the list goes on. The food was all delicious and the service is AMAZING with the most beautiful waitresses ever. They were so attentive and had gorgeous smiles.
The beds are very comfy and the bath products are wonderful. The rooms are layed out well and are spacious. The location was perfect for catching a trolly, shuttle or walking down to the beach through a pretty neighborhood. We mostly walked to the restaurants but if we had to get a cab it was under $10.00. Raymond is one of the concierges and he helped us every day. He made dinner res,. provided maps, discount cards for sightseeing destinations and was just fun to talk to.
My husband and I give a L'H 10 stars on every level.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the pool. There is construction on the front side of the building acro...

We got a bit of a deal and had valet parking and breakfast included with our stay. This little bonus made l'hermitage a our best option.

Service was outstanding. Justin took great care of us makin reservations and recommending restaurants. We used the complimentary bikes and had a great day out riding around Stanley park.

Our first night we had a room that faced the construction. We asked to be switched the next day and we got a great new room facing the pool. The staff moved our bags while we were out and took great care of us.

When we return to Vancouver and if we can get breakfast and parking included, we'd definitely stay at l'hermitage again.
Parking otherwise is spendy- breakfast was tasty, but the menu doesn't change and also probably wasnt worth 35 bucks for two people. All in all a great stay with superior service.

This is a fabulous hotel. Excellent location, amazing rooms, and top notch customer service. My wife and I stayed here for the duration of our wedding weekend and couldn't have been happier. We have stayed here a couple of times since and will certainly stay here again in the future.

A true gem in downtown Vancouver!

Arrived from Abigail's in Victoria where they had mentioned that we would like L'Hermitage and we were not disappointed. Centrally located but a little away from the hustle & bustle. We chose a boutique room which was large and spotless & included a balcony. As previously stated, the attention to detail and cleanliness was excellent and we were made to feel important guests at all times. The two Concierge, David & Raymond, were on hand to guide us with directions, hotel reservations & tips about getting around the city. Even the Manager suggested a particular walk along the sea wall to break our trolley journey. As we arrived in a heatwave the open air pool was a delight when returning from sightseeing. The only downside was the construction noise across the road, but this only went on during the day & as we were out until late afternoon it was not a problem for us.

We stayed here in June for 3 nights prior to an Alaska cruise. The hotel is lovely, and the location cannot be beat. We walked to Stanley Park, Yaletown ( great restaurants) and lots of shopping.
The hotel is beautiful, has a great pool and jacuzzi and a small, but very adequate gym.
But, what really sets this hotel apart is their amazing staff. Everyone was so helpful and kind.
There is construction going on across the street. Not a problem if you are a morning person. But, if you sleep in, let them know , so they can give you a room away from the construction. We were across from the construction, but it did not bother us one bit. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed.

Travelled to Vancouver by myself as a side-getaway before meeting friends in Seattle.

Had a series of unfortunate events including delay in flights to Canada and misplaced baggage. The staff at L'Hermitage were more than helpful in trying to help me deal with United Airlines (and their incompetent staff...) and were insistent on providing any extra toiletries required due to my lack of personal belongings. They also helped me contact my travel insurer.

Aside from the events above, the hotel was a great place to stay. Close to restaurants, shops, supermarkets, sights and transport. Concierge were extremely helpful in suggesting an itinerary for my limited time in Vancouver. Room was clean, modern and adequately large. Bathroom also had a good amount of space. Gym was fitted well with about 8 treadmills/ellipticals. Fireplace in the room was an added bonus! Despite the construction work mentioned in other reviews, this didn't seem to be a problem as it could only be heard/felt during the day. Will definitely stay there again next time in Vancouver (hopefully soon)
