“Excellent In Every Way”

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. From the staff whose helpfulness and friendliness is far above and beyond the norm, to the comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast options, combined with a great location - it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Then to top it off, I left an irreplaceable bracelet (a gift from my mother, custom made) in our room and didn't realize it until a week later - well I made a single phone call, they called me right back with the bracelet in hand and popped it in the mail to me. Simply outstanding.

Room Tip: ask for a balcony!

Lovely accommodation right in the heart of Vancouver (corner of Robson & Richards). Suite was very comfortable and very clean, Only issue was the air conditioning. It was cool and rain outside so did not need the cool air. Tried to adjust the air and turn on some heat but were unable to. Asked the front desk to adjust it while we were out but it was still freezing when we returned from our evening out. We finally figured out how to turn off the air conditioning and our room warmed up. We had a corner suite which had a huge terrace with table, 4 chairs and 2 lounge chairs. Breakfast was substantial and the Dining Room was a nice setting. Staff was very accommodating with helping us make reservations. We would definitely choose the L'Hermitage Hotel again when visiting Vancouver.

Elegant hotel, and good location. Clean and well appointed room. Our view was directly looking across into a very loud, busy construction site which forced unto keep out windows closed and our curtains drawn the entire stay. Even at night the site lights were on. This is certainly not the fault of the hotel and the hotel itself was quite nice. However with all of the rooms in that hotel and at the cost of this room, they should have put us in a better location. This was so disappointing .. Seems like a normal customer service courtesy; because of that we would never return to this hotel. Common courtesy for guests is a hotel must.

Room Tip: Make sure there is no construction across the street.

Small and Perfect: location, quiet and efficient staff and service plus the best Concierge in town : Raymond. No crowds and a lot of attention. All you can expect from a boutique hotel. Will certainly go back.

Room Tip: Reserve quieter rooms in the back

It was the TripAdvisor reviews that compelled us to try something new vs. the "big name" hotel chains in Vancouver. Fortunately, it turned out to be a good choice. As many have noted, the location is outstanding, within walking distance to numerous restaurants, shopping choices, etc. The rooms are nicely appointed and consistent with what one would experience at a Westin or Sheraton. Note: the beds are adequate, but a bit firm for our tastes---if you prefer a "Heavenly Bed" experience, you'll be disappointed. The exercise room is better than average and there is a small lap pool available. The complimentary parking is a welcome touch, as is the breakfast buffet, which my wife found to be fully satisfactory. Where does the hotel shine: SERVICE. They do an outstanding job of accommodating requests, anticipating needs, and delivering their duties in a very responsive and friendly fashion. Kudos to the concierge, Raymond, and to the all the staff, from the front desk, to the doormen, and those in room service. The service levels are quite impressive and more than we had anticipated. Overall, a very satisfying experience. If you are someone who values superb views or truly luxurious accommodations, then I'd suggest you look elsewhere. I would not hesitate to stay here again, particularly for business.

Nice accommodations with excellent service from everyone...check-in...valet...concierge. Wonderful hot buffet breakfast with free range eggs and of course maple bacon and sausage. Really nice lounge, business area, jacuzzi and lap poor. They did not honor our request to be away from construction site...so our view was the construction site..but the windows were sound proof and did their job...you could not hear any street or construction noise...otherwise they would of received an excellent rating. I do not reccommend staying in downtown Vancouver because of the traffic...horrible...I thought Los Angeles is bad...if your using light rail/subway...much better option...hotel very close to two different lines.

Room Tip: away from construction site
