Very impressed with the staff and everything about this hotel. My only complaint is I had to pay for a second room because I had one too may kids traveling with us... exceeded occupancy. But that is my fault because I was not careful enough when I booked. The rooms are really nice abd everything about the hotel was awesome... including the location. Will definitely be back.

If you want to stay in a hotel where they care that everything is the best it can be for you, this is the place. Recommended. They have complimentary bikes for cycling around, Stanley park is a great place to cycle.

The L'Hermitage hotel was a nice escape from the city at the end of the day. Very roomy and beautifully appointed rooms with great attention to guests' needs. It's not terribly far from the waterfront (a very long walk), but in the end we would have preferred to be closer to the action and restaurants in that area. (Just our personal preference.) There's not very much in the way of good restaurants very nearby. There is a Starbucks, Tim Horton's and IGA supermarket around the corner which is convenient. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so we can't comment on that. Very impressed overall!

Room Tip: There is construction going on in front of the hotel. It didn't bother us for sleeping, but jus...

We spent 4 nights in a one bedroom signature suite in June. The staff at this hotel are without exception the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel I've stayed in. They are very genuine in their greetings and assistance which makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed in the hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and well equipped. It was great to have a washing machine and drier to get our washing done before heading off on our cruise. I didn't do any cooking but used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and snacks. There was a full size fridge, stove and dishwasher as well as microwave, jug, and coffee pod machine. There was plenty of cutlery/crockery and equipment for cooking but it if you were going to cook it would have been good to have basics such as salt/pepper/oil/butter provided as it's a pain to have to buy full size products when you only need a small quantity.

We had a view of the construction site across the street but there was no work done there over the weekend and even on weekdays it was only noisy during the day when we were out sightseeing so it didn't bother us at all.

There is an IGA right next door to buy any food/drinks you want during your stay.

The hotel is only two blocks from the Canada Line so getting there from the airport is easy and inexpensive. It's a short walk to just about anywhere you want to go in downtown Vancouver.

Raymond the concierge is very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us discount vouchers for a number of sightseeing options we wanted to visit.

The hotel has free wi-fi in the rooms as well as public spaces.

After 4 nights at L'Hermitage we moved to the Sheraton Wall Centre for 1 night as this was included with our cruise package and it didn't even come close to comparing to L'Hermitage.

If you want a hotel with lots of onsite restaurants/gym/spa/pool etc then don't stay here but if you want a well located smaller property with outstanding service and really well appointed rooms then L'Hermitage will be a great choice.

Room Tip: For a longer stay the one bedroom signature suite gives you room to spread out all the amenities you...

Everything about this all-suite hotel is exceptional. It has 60 suites and the staff ALL go out of their way to ensure you receive 5-star service throughout your stay. The breakfasts are excellent and the rooms very clean and well equipped. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - the staff to guest ratio is high and they really know the meaning of service. As for location, again a clear winner with the hotel located downtown and within easy walking distance of both Yaletown and Gastown.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms at the back are very quiet.

The property is in a great central location in the heart of Vancouver you can walk just about anywhere, yes they have a major construction project across the street but it really didn't bother us. There best asset is by far there staff they go the extra mile every time, I have to give a special shout out to Raymond the head concierge he is so knowledgeable and willing to help with anything you can think of. Rooms were modern, clean and large you can not go wrong with this property, when I am in Vancouver again this is the place we will stay.

My wife and I loved this charming hotel, which was far more like a private residence (it actually is a private residence for some condo owners). It is in the heart of downtown Vancouver...with easy access to Granville Island and other features. Here's why we loved it:

1) It is beautifully finished and furnished. Our one-bedroom suite was extraordinarily nice.
2) It was a fabulous value...priced far less than I would expect for such a property
3) The service was friendly, prompt, and professional

You can't go wrong here...it's that simple. One minor note -- we were warned about noise from construction directly across the street from our room. It did not bother us one bit, but we appreciated the forewarning!

PS: We arrived at 9:30 p.m. and there was no room service available. Fortunately, there were a number of restaurants open that were relatively close to the hotel.
