We spent 5 nights at this hotel in Decemeber this year. We had a one bedroom suite with balcony. The hotel is ideally located in downtown Vancouver and only an easy walk away from a lot of attractions including Stanley Park. The rooms were excellent and well maintained every day. As this chain of hotels is synonymous with a high standard of service we expected the same and got it. The added advantage of this hotel is that the Jean George Restaurant "Market" is located inhouse. This would be possibly the best restaurant we have ever been to. The sable fish on the menu was just perfection. The bar inhouse on the lobby floor is great also and very welcoming. The thing I like about this hotel is that the service is very personalised. The staff remember you and enquire about how your day has been and are only too eager to offer suggestions. The conceirge service was excellent and advised us on a number of half day tours to go on. A great place to stay in Vancouver

Room Tip: The one bedroom suites are very spacious.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I am glad you were able to join us at MARKET by Jean-Georges during your visit. The sable fish is a personal favorite of mine as well. We hope to welcome you back soon.

The men and women at this hotel made our stay the most memorable night in our lives. They were the most accommodating, kind and understanding people we've ever met.

The room that I got was the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite. As soon as I got in our room, my initial reaction was "wow, this will truly be a luxury experience" - and it was. My favorite part of the room is the bathroom, complete with jet soaker, rain shower and oh, a tv in the mirror.

We will definitely be coming back and if possible, maybe get the same room number.

Thank you Shangri-La for making Dec. 27th a very special night. You guys are the best in town!

The room was beautiful & well appointed. Beds (including Pull Out) were comfortable. Spacious bathroom with modern touches. Attentive service delivered with elegance. Chi Spa is worth a visit. It was completely booked during our stay, so it will have to wait until next time. Great downtown location, walkable distance to entertainment & dining. A great way to endulge while on business or for pleasure.

This was the third year in a row we stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver for Xmas. First year we got upgraded to an extremely nice corner suite, past two years we've been in the Deluxe rooms with king beds. The service is friendly, accommodating of requests, and very helpful overall. The room decor is relaxing and tranquil, the bathrooms are well designed, fast hot water and excellent plumbing, lights on dimmers, TV-in-mirror, frosted glass partition on commode. The beds (Stearns & Foster mattresses) and bedding materials are extremely comfortable - easily the best I've ever slept in. Heavy drapes and sheer curtains are independently controlled via electronic controls, bedroom lights are all on dimmers with controls located next to both sides of the bed. The rooms we stayed in had a safe in the closet large enough to hold a 15-inch laptop, also includes a jewelry tray.

The location is basically at the center of downtown give or take a couple of blocks, with easy access to a variety of restaurants, shopping, lounges, and public transportation. Stanley Park is a 15 minute walk to the northwest. Convenience items - there is an Urban Fare (upscale deli/grocery store combo) next door, a Tim Horton's, Wendy's, and A&W across the street, a 7-11 adjacent, and a well stocked liquor store a block away. The hotel's parking lot is a bit tricky to find for first-timers, almost like a secret back entrance off of Alberni Street just past the Urban Fare.

Room Tip: Better views are from rooms that directly overlook West Georgia Street (north and northwestern views...

We stayed here as we got a good deal since we were attending a Christmas Party. Fancy hotels are not really our thing, but this place was well worth the rate we paid. The rooms were very well designed, the beds were comfy and the location is excellent. If you are looking for a top notch experience in a hotel with a Zen environment, this is a good place to stay. One complaint I had was there were no ice machines that I could find so I ended up buying ice from 7-11 which was not a normal experience for me. I am sure I could have called down and asked for some, however it was easier to pick up on my way back to the hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view.

We are glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay at our hotel. I am sorry that you had to purchase ice from outside the hotel. We deliver ice upon requests as having ice machines on guest room floors is too noisy. Thank you for your feedback.
