Description: Located in the chic Moda Hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s arts and events district, Cibo Trattoria is the ideal destination for an enjoyable dining experience and memorable evening out in the city. True to the trattoria aspect of its name, Cibo’s 40 seat, cozy dining room is the perfect spot for any occasion or social gathering; where patrons enjoy casual, rustic Italian cuisine in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Cibo Trattoria serves up authentic Italian cuisine prepared in a traditional manner with ethically sourced, seasonal and local ingredients and showcases rustic elegance on each plate. Our ‘from-scratch’ approach in the kitchen works with Mother Nature and embraces the ‘Slow Food’ philosophy founded by Italian writer Carlo Petrini to showcase a simple, rustic elegance in each dish.

Cibo Trattoria is part of the Moda Hotel in downtown Vancouver. It serves mainly Italian dishes and I left it up to the waitress to serve me her recommended soup which was spicy, hot, but delicious. It hit the spot after walking on slippery snow covered sidewalks. I followed up with Italian meatballs in a sauce with macaroni. That was good too and filled me up in no time.Good and friendly service. An excellent place to dine before going to the Orpheum Theatre just across the road.

Thank Quillermo

The food was really good (probably not for vegetarians, as there was only one meat/fishless dish on the menu). Two couples who came in after us, got their food and bill before we got our dinner. It seems, that when the restaurant is 80% occupied, the kitchen isn't able to cope with it. Also extra wishes are difficult to meet for the kitchen... but they tried.

Had a nice dinner at Cibo yesterday, the service was truly excellent and friendly, but the food was not as good as I had anticipated given the rating of the restaurant.
