“A hip spot for drinks and a bite...”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

After a meeting at Shangri-La, we went for drinks at Xi Shi Lounge. It has a funky atmosphere for an after work drink and even has a DJ playing hip music (5-7pm Thursdays & Fridays only). We all enjoyed our martinis and cocktails and the most amazing savoury popcorn! I don't know what was on it, but it disappeared and was thankfully replaced immediately by our quick server…it's completely addictive…but we finally had to tell the server not to bring us more as we were headed out to dinner. Next time we'll stay and try the evening menu.

“high Tea at its best !!! with and Artful addition”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

This has been our best high tea experience since we moved to Vancouver in 1987. Far better than the Empress in Victoria or other similar highly ranked establishments.
The quality of the food was incredible as you could literally savour every single bite of food.
The selection of teas is phenomenal, classic and exotic : rose petals, Lychee.. just to name a few.
A very attentive and non intrusive service from our Waitress Yayoi and host Mi Yeon whose attention to details deserve our most sincere gratitude .
All this top up by the chance to encounter and chat with Ron Smid one of Canada most iconic Landscape photographer who has displayed his most famous pictures at Xi Shi lounge for a month , Shangri-la never stops to amaze us !!!!

“o.k. but could be better”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

Had a drink and dinner here one evening. The menu isn't great - kind of odd mix of things. I had the Pad Thai which was o.k.
The bar seems like it is trying to hard to be cool - hot pink lighting, etc. Didn't make me want to come back the next night.

“Shangri la redeems itself”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 via mobile

Revised review! After my last negative experience in November. Shangrila has redeemed itself!
This time, everything was beautifully done and presented. Our lovely server, was very friendly, attentive. The manager ensured our experience for my out of town guests exceeded my expectations. Thank you for restoring my confidence in my favourite afternoon tea place in Vancouver.
