“Great pad in the middle of everywhere we wanted to be!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2012

This was a great hotel. It's clean and modern, with floor to ceiling windows. We were able to check in a 10 am! Not something we were expecting, but a nice bonus. The location is stellar, especially if you're interested in Stanley Park, Robson or the seawall. Using public transportation, we were able to get to Grouse mountain in 40 minutes. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the hotel. We usually allow our guests to check in early if the room is available. We know that it takes a burden off of your shoulders if you can get into your room a little earlier to get to your appointments or start touring our gorgeous city!

Situated between Stanley Park and downtown, the hotel's location worked well for my needs: proximity to the business district, waterfront, transportation, cafes, shopping and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful too, but the hotel just didn't do it for me. The decor and amenities were ordinary; I didn't find anything that differentiates it from other hotels in a similar price category. I'd give it a solid three and half stars and consider it a no frills hotel. If view is important, pay the upcharge for a room facing the water. Morning coffee is available in the room or walk around the corner to Urban Faire or Sbux.

Had three nights at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel and it was perfect.
The location - superb - within walking distance of the harbour and Stanley Park and close proximity to transport.
The staff - what can I say - they could not have been more helpful and informative and
their recommendations for places to eat etc. were perfect.
The rooms were spotless, spacious and inviting.
Had breakfast there on 2 morning and the food and service were superb - lovely fresh
produce and so beautifully presented.

Our experience at the Coast Hotel on Hastings in Vancouver was great. We found every aspect of our stay to be first-class for the price we paid.

We had a wonderful view from the 15th floor looking out over the inner harbour.

Convenient to shopping, Stanley Park and the Stadium

Would recommend without hesitation

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water

A very conveniently located hotel, just ten minutes walk from either the Waterfront Sky train station or Burrard Street station. Only minutes from the harbour's edge on Burrard Inlet, a leisurely stroll from the shops and restaurants on Robson Street and a twenty minute walk to Stanley Park. But it's not just its location that stands out, rather its the hotel's general ambience. Modern, clean, comfortable and with a staff who are, without exception, anxious to make the guest's stay as easy and memorable as possible.
We stayed in a comfort room, no great view, but well equipped with two extremely comfortable queen beds and a spacious and well thought-out bathroom. For longer stays (ours was seven nights) a little more storage space would have been appreciated, but that's a minor inconvenience.
The hotel gym was compact but well equipped, with a small adjacent outdoor pool. The restaurant (which we used for one evening meal and one breakfast) served good quality and reasonably priced meals. However, if like us you prefer to explore other local places to eat, then Pender Street behind the hotel has a number of very good breakfast bars, of which Moneypennies was our favourite. For evening meals Vancouver has a wide range of very good restaurants and brasserie-type establishments.
Overall, a hotel that I'd recommend without hesitation - and that reflects the efforts of a hard-working and caring staff.

A great review! Thanks so much. If you plan on coming and staying for a longer period again, I might suggest reserving one of our Premium Rooms which are located on the top three floors of the hotel. These rooms command excellent city, mountain, and water views and have more than one closet in them, making a longer stay more comfortable. We look forward to seeing you back here again soon.

My husband and I stayed here twice within a week (before and after a cruise). Both times we upgraded to better rooms, the first time to a city view on the 19th floor, and the second to an Ocean view on the 8th floor. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and we were pleasantly surprised.

We favored the Ocean view, over the city view, as we had a great view of the 9pm cannon in Stanley Park each night, and could see the cruise liners as they came in and out.

The Staff here were exceptionally friendly and helpful, upon both check ins, we were given coupons to use at 'Prestons', the nearest restaurant.

I would definitely stay here again. the location was ideal. I have rated the breakfast as average as we did not have breakfast included.

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed both our city and ocean views... I personally prefer the ocean/mountain views that we have.

With regards to your breakfast, please feel free to let us know what you would like to see on the menu or how we could have made the meal more positively memorable to you. We do hope to see you back here again.
