Really a very, very good bed - slept like a child. The hotel is nicely and centrally located, right next to the harbour promenade. Excellent breakfast, too. No frills, really - just a very efficient hotel for the business traveller

Room Tip: Ask for harbour view

First time in years that we have found a hotel in Vancouver that has the Visitors needs in our best interest not in a fancy lobby with grandeur of flowers etc.
Their staff was wonderful and made us feel comfortable like we were No. 1.
That helped me feel so good and made our time go fast with a safe, relaxing, caring, watching our $, great service.
We thank Coast for making a difference for us while in Vancouver by having an excellent STAFF THAT HELPS EACH OTHER AND THE VISITORS TO MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD OF THEIR STAY THERE.
Excellent location near the waterfront and great for walking and seeing the harbor and sites.

Room Tip: Valet parking is so nice to have in downtown Vancouver. Everyone is there to help you with whatever...

Great customer service from Luiz, Jeremy and all staff. Even when I got my hair cut at Poised! Our room was a nice clean room with a comfortable bed, nice view with an upgrade, and a friendly room service staff. Some elevator noise (room 1716 facing Hastings and Harbour), but overall a great experience!

My husband and I came to Vancouver after finishing a cruise in mid August 2013. We picked this hotel based on reviews from Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor was right. If you are coming from Victoria and using public transportation like us, it was a long day. So what a relief that once getting to the hotel, the staff was friendly and nice and check in was fast. The hotel was a good location, there is a grocery store practically across the street on one side and a drug store on the other side. It was also a few blocks from a bank ATM which is handy. When we came downstairs to go to dinner, the staff was very helpful and seemed to take an interest in us. They even gave us such tips as avoiding the old Chinatown, it is rundown and there is a HUGE homeless population between Gastown and Chinatown over there . (We unfortunately ended up getting lost and seeing that in person and it was scary - at least a hundred people. They recommended another area in the opposite direction for Asian food that was newer and safer.) We were able to walk to dinner to quite a few areas from hotel. The wifi in the room was good. Not only did you get complimentary soaps and shampoos, they had large squeeze pumps of both in the shower so you definitely wouldn't run out. The room was kept very clean with a modern feel. The big DEEP bath tub was so nice and good to soak in after walking about all day. When I called down for more towels, housekeeping brought them quickly and with a smile. One neat thing about this hotel that is that it has 2 street entrances on opposite sides so you don't have to walk all the way around to get in. The weather was nice but there is a thermostat we used at night with no problems. We like the sound of a fan when we sleep and liked the option of just having the fan in the thermostat on. Even though we were on an upper floor, there is a small window you can open if you like that too. We didn't have a car so I can't speak about parking but there was a garage attached to hotel with valet service. (I don't think you need a car, we took buses to get to the Capilano Bridge Park and Granville Island). The room was quiet. There was a wedding in the hotel at the time but the reason we knew that was there were some guests on our floor. We had a partly obstructed view of the Harbor due to a big office building with black glass but that is the only negative, that's just part of staying downtown. We were out so much though that I didn't mind. If we ever get back to Vancouver, I would easily stay at this awesome place again! PS - I didn't know they had a spa until I was filling this out so I can't speak to that.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room at the end of a hall.

We booked this hotel as a treat for a couple of days and it turned out to be exactly that. We added a note on the booking asking for a mountain view and were not prepared for exactly how much they followed through with that. The view was amazing! Staying here was a really great introduction to Vancouver. Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay.
The location is near the Harbour so close for a stroll in the morning. They have a covered entrance which helps when raining. The staff are efficient yet informative. The lobby is sparse but the amenities are many.
Loved our corner king room on the 10th floor. Spacious and floor to ceiling windows. Some street noise but minor.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit when next in Vancouver.

Great visit to Whistler with a two day lay over in Vancouver at end at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel. Incredibly convenient location, reasonable prices with Hotwire, and beautiful spacious rooms. One room for us, one for our kids for under $200 Canadian a night.
