“Great Location”

Easy access to city attractions and waterfront. City explorer bus stops just along the road giving access to Stanley Park, Granville Island and Gastown which are all worth visiting.

The restaurant was fairly small and, on our first night, was extremely noisy. It was also expensive with a fairly small range of meals. Plenty of places to eat out nearby and a 7/11 convenience store on the corner of the block and a very nice coffee shop opposite.

Be warned there are some maps around that show the hotel in the wrong location which can make it difficult to find your way back to it.

Stayed here two nights on business - very comfortable room, good amenities, and breakfast was excellent. Centrally located for both business and tourism - and a really good deal at $129 a night.Had a corner room with some glimpses of the mountains and the harbour, with lots of room, free wireless internet (there should be a law about this - all hotels should have to provide it), good towels, and a stated environmental policy that goes above and beyond most (green bins in the room)

Loved this hotel. Had deluxe king corner room on 20th room. Very spacious with sitting area which had lounge chair, marble topped coffee table and sette ( pullout bed?) very large desk seperated it from bed area but no fridge :( two wardrobes and lamps a go-go.
It had a view as such but due to building work ( can't really avoid it in Vancouver) was disappearing fast and could see Stanley Park and harbour if you pressed your nose up against window and looked out the other side as room as had full length windows on two sides. However mostly could see into offices directly opposite, good job room had net curtains. Unfortunately for me housekeeper had a habit of pulling them right back and one day I returned to the room stripped off and well you can imagine it was a bit embarassing. Turn down service was a bit hit and miss.First night nothing, second water and chocolates, third night water only !!!
Other wise other positive reviewers are spot on reagrding rooms, decor, recyling, green issues, helpfulness of staff,et all.I agree with them all
Can't comment on Prestons as did not use but prices did not seem much different to any other resturant of that style serving that type of food in Vancouver.
Overall l one of the best hotel experiences i have had and honestly that says a lot about this hotel. Stay there and find out for yourself.

I stayed here for a conference at the new Vancouver Conference Center. This hotel is in a great location only a couple of blocks away from the conference center and the waterfront as well as some very good restaurants. The price was only $130 / night with one of the summer deals which was by far the least expensive hotel in the area. The rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked. My ceiling to floor window on the 9th floor had a great view of the water (even if it was between two buildings across the street). It was surprisingly quiet in my room during the night as well. I expected some street noise but there was almost no sound at all. Two (very) minor complaints would be that the air conditioning in my room made a strange hissing noise (only while running) and the gray / green decorating style wasn't really to my taste. These are probably just my own personal preferences though and were easily ignored. Overall this is a great hotel at a great price and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was our last hotel on a trip to Canada that started in Montreal. It was the perfect hotel to end our trip in. The room were spacious and clean. Recycling bins should be in every hotel, a good bit of forward thinking. The bathrobe was a bonus. The staff, especially the bar staff, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast in Prestons was very good although it is slightly expensive and there are several places in the area serving breakfast. A pleasant stroll takes you to Gastown and Chinatown. Avoid Chinatown at night unless you are visiting a restaurant,in which case use a taxi. There are lots of beggars in Gastown but a firm NO is all you need. Make sure to visit the steam clock. It's not far over to Grouse mountain and the Capilano Suspension bridge. Also well worth a visit but not for the faint-hearted especially if you get caught in a thunderstorm as we did. As others have said Stanley park is close by. There is a good grocery store on the corner with fantastic displays of fruit and vegetables well worth a photo according to our tour guide.
I would recommend this hotel and if I ever go to Canada again would hope to stay there.
