“Nice place”
Reviewed 6 June 2013

The room was very large, the bathroom was like a spa setting. The curtains were on an electronic switch, so was the lighting in the room. It was very interesting that the bathroom mirror had a small T.V. in it, great to have a bath and watch my show. There are so high tech here it has a tablet that lets you order room services, or anything you want. The bed is very comfortable. If you have an AMA card or work for the government, you get a discount. Great pool area, make you feel like you are not in Vancouver, more like a tropical place. First time stayed here and will come back. I have to tell you if you sign up for the president's club you get free wireless, or it is $15 a day. Parking was expensive around $43 a day.

Room Tip: As for one overlooking the water.

Stayed at the Pacific Rim for a quick weekend getaway for our anniversary. Used a suite upgrade certificate and was upgraded to a one bedroom suite on the pool deck which was amazing. Check in was a breeze as usual. We were given the option of a lower level suite (the one we booked) or if we waited 20 minutes the suite we were given. (we waited of course) The lobby lounge is a very tranquil place to wait, although construction is going on to enhance the size of the lounge and add a covered outdoor bar and patio as well which should be amazing.

The room was absolutely amazing with two bathrooms, a large living room, kitchen, master bedroom and huge spa inspired bathroom. Both rooms led out to a large covered patio with outdoor fireplace. This was great since is rained the entire time but did not impact our ability to sit on the patio and have easy access to the pool and hot tub.

Service was always excellent with all staff including rides to restaurants in the BMW 750's that the hotel has for guest use. It's always nice showing up for dinner in a car of this caliber as opposed to a dirty taxi!

Would recommend this property to anyone in Vancouver as the top choice of hotels in the downtown area. Great job Fairmont!

Room Tip: For those who are members of the Fairmont Presiden'ts Club, this is definitely a hotel to use yo...

Second visit to the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Vancouver and still as wonderful as ever. Fantastic rooms - get a corner room as high up as possible - views are fabulous. Service is terrific and location is second to none. Working out when we can go there next.

For my work I travel and often I am fortunate to stay in some pretty amazing hotels. I appreciate all the little details that Fairmont Hotels deal with to near perfection but every once in awhile I am assigned a room that is truly - too cool! I assume all the 'east' side of the buildings corner rooms from the 1st to about the 16th floor are similar.

Room Tip: The bathroom in the east corner rooms is over the top. Biggest shower ever. I had #617 and recommend...

Are you kidding me??? Spending over 200 nights a year in hotels around the world, it's so nice to know that I have such a great property close to home. Living in Vancouver, we are blessed to not only have perhaps one of the most beautiful cities in the world (what am I saying ...perhaps? It definitely is one of the most beautiful cities in the world!!!) but a bevy of very high end beautiful hotels (don't get me started...lol). one of my favourites is without quetion the Fairmont Pacific Rim. From the moment you're greeted by the friendly door men and are lead through to the front desk, you know you've arrived. Usually surrounded by Vancouver's "beautiful" people with a backdrop of what is rumored to be a $250,000 Grand Piano being every so elegently frollicked with by super talented musiicians, this hotel has everything and I mean EVERYTHING! Great bar environment, fabulous staff, beautiful rooms, great restuarants and amazing location and most of all...the suppor of my favorite hotel chain...THE FAIRMONT! I usually stay here three or four times a year for downtown conferences (no drinking and driving for this cowboy...wife respects that and loves the property also) and am so fortunate to have it as a place to knock back a couple on a Thursday or Friday night (after driving in from the airport). here my friends and I can unwind and enjoy a most beautiful gem of a property. Come on by and see for yourself...It's a sea to sky experience you'll not soon forget. PS. Staying again this week...can't wait!!!

Room Tip: Take care of the door guys...they're super nice and very helpful!

The only criticism I would have is that it is too high tech. Using the suppliediPad to open curtains, turn on lights etc is a great idea, but to try and do these things in the middle of the night without glasses on can be a hassle.

Room Tip: Club lounge is great

This Fairmont Hotel remains as one of our favorites....and we stay in many of them. The Doorman are so polite and helpful and the best we have ever come across. They remember us and offer to help us even when we are only visiting and not a Hotel guest.
The front desk staff are friendly and always make us feel welcomed. The rooms are clean, quiet and well appointed and most come with a fantastic coal harbor view. We love the pools and hot tubs and the fitness center is always clean and comes complete with towels, water, coffee, tea and fruit for our enjoyment. The change rooms and spa area are second to none! Showers, steam rooms, fireplace retreat waiting rooms and complementary muffins and smiles are so enjoyed by us. The area is always clean and replenished, to the point where I was inspired to buy all the staff there a small gift as a token of my appreciation of their superior efforts. The Lounge can get somewhat busy and as a result, the staff there can seem aloof as they struggle to handle the crowds...but once they know you, they will remember you and make you feel every bit as warm as the rest of the fabulous staff. Also, if you have an opportunity to visit the Gold Floor area, you will enjoy some wonderful amenities and views. The only thing we feel this Hotel lacks is the absence of a Business Center for faxes and printing. Although they are happy to do it for you, there is the issue of privacy. However, that issue remains small in comparison with the rest of what the Fairmont Pacific Rim has to offer its guests. We just love this Hotel.

Room Tip: Try for the harbor view. Gold Floor costs a bit more, but offers a lot of add-on value. Make sure y...
