We just finished a day of touring Vancouver via the Big Bus. Overall I was disappointed with the experience. We had a hard time figuring out where our first pick up was actually located and we were confused about the payment process, but once we got on the driver held up the tour to get our payment. I do feel the $40 charge is quite steep given how inexpensive it is to use Vancouver's excellent public transit system. Other people who were already on the bus used the opportunity to tell the driver that their tickets did not reflect the correct number of people and days they had paid for. The driver was quite irate but did his, best to get back on schedule. Stanley Park was our first stop and we were VERY glad we took the extra bus around the park - it was the best part of the Big Bus experience. Through the rest of the day as we used the bus the driver did a decent job of being funny and giving us facts about the city, but overall I felt I didn't really learn that much and the service provided was not worth the cost.
