Right on the waterfront with easy access to the skytrain, cruise ship boarding, walks along the sea wall and a 15 minute walk up to shopping on Robson and 5 minutes to GasTown . My room had great city views (on a previous stay, great sea/mountain views). There are several types of rooms, some are smaller than others and some have odd shapes. The washroom is a good size and clean. There is a mini bar and munchies for a fee (tempting...) The sheets, bed covers and pillows are very nice! The outdoor pool and hot tub offer great views of the sea/mountains, a great place to relax after a busy day any time of year. There are change rooms, showers, sauna and towel service. I always enjoy my stay here and would stay again.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues, make sure you ask for a room that is not odd shaped as it is not easy t...

Stayed prior to cruise. Wonderful location. Excellent bell service both at check-in and bags to ship terminal. Layout of lobby and room signage lacking and elevators slow and crowded; not the best. Would recommend pre-cruise even with slightly high price as convenience sometimes outweighs cost. Close to many restaurants and attractions.

Pan Pacific Hotel was our destination prior to and after taking our Alaskan cruise on Holland America. You literally get on an elevator and 50 feet away is the entrance to the cruise ship. The location in Vancouver is wonderful. Beautiful water and city views. The restaurants are amazing and once again the views are breath taking. The hop on and off tour buses are in front of the hotel. If you don't want to pay extra for wifi at the hotel, Starbucks gives free wifi and they are next door. This was just a win win experience for my husband and I.

Room Tip: Ask for water or city view.

We recently stayed at the Pan Pacific in anticipation of our Disney Cruise that was leaving from Vancouver. As far as location, if you are taking a cruise there is no better place to stay than the Pan Pacific. The morning of my cruise I just walked downstairs and boom I was in the embarkation area for our cruise. And even if you aren't taking a cruise, we hopped on so many free shuttles to see the local sights (Capilano Suspension bridge, etc) and all the shuttles stopped outside of our hotel (Canada Place). Talk about convenient. But as for the hotel itself, when we first arrived I was impressed by the size, grandeur, and panoramic views the hotel had to offer. Then we walked up to the check in counter and the clerk who was helping us was fawning over my younger daughter, talking to her about her upcoming Disney Cruise, etc. Then the clerk quietly asked me if she could have cookies and milk sent up to our room for my daughter. !!!! And if all that wasn't enough, she upgraded our room to a beautiful room-with-a-view and told us that now we'd be able to see our Disney Cruise Ship arrive the following morning. (And boy did we! It was a perfect view of our cruise ship coming and and docking- my daughter got a HUGE kick out of that!!). All in all I was extremely happy with our stay at the Pan Pacific. The customer service was above and beyond, our room was spacious and comfortable, the food in the downstairs restaurants was 5 star. Everything was amazing. We will certainly be back.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific for one night prior to leaving on an Alaskan cruise. We had made a reservation several months earlier for a room with a king bed. Upon arrival we were told they could not accommodate the king request and would put us in a room with 2 beds. This was acceptable for one night, though disappointing given the advance of the reservation. My husband then asked about where we would go to board our cruise the next day - we were on a luxury line. Suddenly, there was a king suite available to us - amazing! So, our room was excellent with a great view of the harbor. The staff is helpful, but the hotel is very busy. There are 3 cruise ship berths on the pier the hotel is on and a convention center. I would only stay here if connecting to a cruise or attending a convention. There are other wonderful options in Vancouver if you are not cruising or at a convention.

We drove up from Seattle to Vancouver with my sister-in-law and stayed here one night before driving East to the Okanagon Valley for touring and wine tasting. We both had a harbor view, which was lovely. The pros: room was fine, linens excellent. The cons: the carpeting was old and tired and there was a chaise lounge rather than two chairs in our room. Fortunately we are early risers otherwise the loud speaker from the cruise ship would have been very, very annoying and we were on the 17th floor. The attendants outside the hotel were very competent - parked our car, got us a taxi when we left for our dinner reservation, brought the car back promptly when we departed the next morning. We have no complaints about the hotel. We are very used to the hotels abroad which come with breakfast and that would have been a nice added bonus.

Room Tip: Harbor view, very high floor

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding and had a fabulous stay!! The views from our Deluxe Harbour view room were spectacular over the bay and coastal mtns. Service was very personable but professional. The children had room-service and it was prompt and hot. The room service attendant related nicely to the children too. Definitely will return!!
