“Amazing!”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

I was on a business trip in Burnaby and stayed an extra night in Vancouver. I did purchase a harbour view room & was upgraded to a luxury club suite with breathtaking views! The suite was amazing gave me that "sigh" holiday feeling. The amenities in the room are fantastic, although I didn't use the spa or fitness centre I'm sure they are just as well. Location is perfect as your right on the ocean, several coffee shops, restaurants, bike path & shopping is close by. The breakfast had a vast variety of hot & cold with a great view of the ocean. Staff were extremely nice. Highly recommend if your looking for a break or romantic getaway as staying in the room is relaxing and easy with the jet tub/steam shower/large TVs/spacious living area/ocean views in every room (including the bath). This was an amazing location with pristine views of the ocean and I would come back in a heartbeat :)

Room Tip: I would splurge for the ocean/harbour view - its worth it!

We started our honeymoon at the Pan Pacific through Holland America Lines. Our first room was neat and clean and very comfortable with a view of the harbor. The bell service was great and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We stayed a second night (not consecutive) in a different room that was larger and had an incredible view - the day happened to be so clear we could see Mt. Baker all the way in Washington State! The location of the Pan Pacific is also great for touring Vancouver itself and there is a taxi line RIGHT outside because of the port (or of course the staff is always happy to call one for you). We had breakfast at the attached restaurant and that was delicious!

We stayed in the Pan Pacific the night before crusing with HAL to Alaska. The location was great - with in walking distance of many things to see and do in Vancouver. We walked to the Steam Clock one direction and to the Olympic torch in the other direction. Nice restaurants and a convenient food court in the basement for quick bites. There was a nice restaurant in the hotel overlooking the harbor - but it was never opened.

The hotel itself was very nice, the beds were comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
We will stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking downtown and it was quiet. I don't think there are bad rooms - we wou...

It was a pleasure to read your review on your recent stay at the Pan Pacific Vancouver.

We are very fortunate in our location on Vancouver's downtown waterfront as this provides our guests with convenient access to many restaurants, services, attractions and public transit - we are pleased to read that you were able to take advantage of this during your stay.

It is unfortunate that you were not able to experience our Cafe Pacifica - on evenings when we are not serving in the Cafe, our full dinner menu is available in our Cascades Lounge and Bistro.

Should we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Pan Pacific Vancouver, perhaps you will have an opportunity to experience the cuisine and spectacular views in the Cascades Bistro.

This hotel has an amazing location. One of the closest hotels to the convention centre(s) (with inside access so you don't have to go outside when it rains). Also, right above the cruise terminal, so a great place to stay before or after a cruise.
The staff were very helpful, but don't expect a harbour view room unless you pay for it. If you end with a really bad room you can ask to change it (they did for me easily enough). Service was helpful and quick. The rooms were a good size and very nice.
Across the street is a food court for cheaper food options, but downtown and Gastown are a short walk away. A lot of tour buses also stop in front of the hotel (sometimes called the Canada Place stop on their maps) so it's a convenient place to catch a tour or bus.

The Pan Pacific is a very nice stay with a killer location and view. Nice rooms, good cafe and bar, helpful staff. Right in the center of action on the harbor and near great restaurants. Vancouver is very cool.

I just stayed at the Pan Pacific Vancouver last week (June 2014) and had a great time. Love the pool with the view of the mountains. All service was excellent! The room was clean and well stocked and even received a free newspaper every day of my stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view of mountains. It might cost more but worth it!

This is the perfect hotel for a cruise, a convention at East or West side, or just exploring the city. I got a city view, but that view includes part of the water and you still see cruise ships. The hotel is right on the water, as you can take your elevator to the cruise ship level, and great views from all angles. It's a little noisy with the cruise ships on the weekends blowing their horns, but I had no issues with that at all. Their discretion at check in about not announcing your hotel room to the lobby was on point, they even had a notice that if they told your hotel room out loud, tell the management. The free wi-fi is a little confusing, as they give a price for 24 hours or a week, but the charge didn't come on my bill. My convention was on the West side so it was a little more of a walk than the East side, but it's like a minute vs 20 seconds, not a big deal at all. They also have a covered walkway when it's raining, and you get to walk past Olympic medals and Native art. This hotel is the hotel I will always go to for a convention if it's available.
