“Perfect Hotel for Cruisers”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

Linda and I stayed at the Pan Pacific for a couple days prior to an Alaskan cruise and it was a very satisfying experience. After landing at Vancouver International, we were able to take the Canada Line from the airport directly to the Pan Pacific. Schlepping our luggage was not the easiest but if you are younger and have the strength, it’s a great way to get to the Pan Pacific, which is located downtown in the Convention Center and next to the Cruise Ship Terminal. The hotel, located one level up from the Vancouver Convention Center, is a lovely establishment with convenient accommodations and beautiful views of the harbor. We found our room to be comfortable and clean overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the city itself. The best part is the location. It is not only perfect for cruisers, it is centrally located to a variety of restaurants, shopping, a variety of interesting neighborhoods or just walking along the harbor viewing art work, the ocean scene or people watching. There is a dearth of activity in the area and plenty to do. Whether you are cruising or spending some time in beautiful Vancouver, you cannot go wrong staying at the Pan Pacific. The location, rooms, and services are amazing.

My wife and I stayed one night prior to boarding an Alaska cruise. We opted for the hotel's crise package, which included breakfast, baggage transfer to the ship, and late check out - all of which was well worth the price. Setting aside the advantages that the hotel offers to its cruising guests, this is one of the nicest and best run hotels we have had the pleaure of visiting. The room was excellent, the views of the harbor are beautiful, it is very close to Vancouver's Gastown District, and we were able to take advantage of nearby Stanley Park, renting bicycles prior to the cruise and doing the 10k loop along the sea wall around the park.

Kudos to Concierge Karlo Santos, who had excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants, etc.

Went with my husband for a three night stay in a "premium king room" overlooking the harbor. Got in early on Harbour Air from Victoria. Had asked for "early check in" and got it!
Depends on availability of the specific room...we got lucky. Room was very clean, roomy and had view to die for. Yes, the $300 + a night expensive but I think worth it. Never closed our drapes as.........no one could see in and why not enjoy the view all night long?

Room Tip: The harbor view is amazing...stay on an upper floor if cruise ships are coming in so they do not blo...

We booked this hotel prior to our Alaskan cruise and could not have picked better. Room overlooking bay and city provided views of sea planes taking off and landing. Nice lounge with a great view and wonderful lobby. Very friendly staff and bell services deliveries bags directly to ship. They picked them up at the room and the next time we saw them was in our cabin. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Overlooking the bay is great but the city view is nice too especially if you like the urban feel. Ge...

Beautiful views right at dock where cruise ships come in. Hotel bellhops even took care of taking our luggage from our hotel room to the ship so we did not have to keep up with it while embarking onto the ship.

It was a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your recent stay at the Pan Pacific Vancouver and we appreciate you taking the time to post your review.

We are very fortunate in our waterfront location at Canada Place as this provides cruise ship guests seamless luggage transfer from guests' accommodation straight to their stateroom, which many travelers appreciate.

We do hope we will have another occasion to welcome you back to the Pan Pacific Vancouver should your travels bring you back to British Columbia.

Loved the location and the views from the hotel; close to public transport too; I went on a business trip but was able to spend the evening and early morning to enjoy the views and walk around the harbour. Hotel is nice and clean; preferred company rates made it great value for money!

Nice hotel, friendly staff, spacious rooms.Nothing to complain, only breakfast rather expensive for what it offers. The view over the harbor from the nineteenth floor was breathtakingly. The beds very comfortable. Everything new and clean.
