Owner description: North America's third-largest park draws eight million visitors per year, many of whom may skate or walk past you on the Seawall, a scenic, 5.5-mile path running along the water on the park's perimeter. It's just one of many trails among the park's 1,000 acres, which also house an aquarium, nature center and other recreational facilities.

“Nice Forest, pricey parking”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Aquarium and totem poles, crossing the Lionsgate bridge at the Northern edge, and the beautiful seawall bike ride, are all must do activities when in Vancouver.

If lucky enough to be around for one of the outdoor summer movie screenings - do it! Great experience, with lots of room, and vendors selling coffee and doughnuts.

There is a 10 dollar parking fee (5 in winter) that applies throughout the park, not just car parks beside amenities, annoying as it's often for parking miles from anywhere good. As it counts for the entire day, plan to do a few things while there on one trip.

“Plenty of recreational options in our beloved Stanley Park”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Stanley Park is one of our favourite places to go in Vancouver because it never gets boring. From one visit to the next, our experience can be completely different.

On rainy days, a trip to the Aquarium or an afternoon tea at the teahouse, or heck, just driving into the park is lovely.

A casual stroll around the Lagoon, or through the many blooming gardens is a great way to kick-off the spring/summer.

On nicer days, cycling, rollerblading, walking or jogging around the sea wall is a great way to people watch in the West End, catch scenic city and water views, stop at your choice of several beaches, go under the Lion's Gate Bridge and see across the Burrard Inlet to views of West and North Van and mountain ranges beyond. You might even catch a glimpse of a sea lion patrolling the beach along the Burrard Inlet.

The public outdoor swimming pool nestled between Stanley Park's majestic old growth trees and English Bay is a great way to cool down in summer. There's a great kid's water park on the Burrard Inlet side of the park as well.

During the Christmas Season, the Stanley Park Railway puts on a little Christmas Train/Festival for the little ones. The Train is also open during the regular season, which this makes a nice little adventure for the little ones any time of year.

Within the park there are countless pedestrian and wilderness hiking and biking trails, with bike rental places near-by, so you don't have to figure out how to lug your own bike down there.

Horse and buggy rides, live concerts, viewpoints, lighthouse, mermaid sculpture, hollow cedar... the list goes on.

Tip: Don't try to see all of the park or do everything in one day.
Choose one thing, enjoy it, and then do something else completely different on your next visit.

“A huge park with lots of things to do”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Stanley Park is a must see attraction for tourists (and locals) if you are in Vancouver. It is a huge park with lots of things to do all year round. If you just want to hang out and relax, this is also a good place to be. In the park, you can ride a bike or stroll along the sea wall where you can see the skyline of Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver. Going there at night or early evening is also nice since you get to see the lights slowly coming and giving the surroundings a magnificent glow! It is also child and pet friendly so you can take them there and have a good time. In Stanley Park, you can see the Vancouver Aquarium, home to a variety of land and sea animals. This is also readily accessible via public transit. Just take bus #19 Stanley Park and it will bring you to the heart of it. This is also close to downtown Vancouver and so you have a lot of options. This is really a nice place to enjoy.

“Stanley Park”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Stanley Park is up there with the best things to see in Vancouver as it is such a large green space easily accessible to all and with fantastic views of the mountains and harbour. It's a great place to go to walk, jog, cycle or play with the kids.

“Great Escape in the Middle of the City!”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Very scenic with amazing views from Prospect Point of the Ocean, mountains, forest! Minutes away from the busy downtown core, a great, flat and safe place to run, (seawall) swim, and enjoy nature. The totem poles are a terrific tourist site. The grounds are well kept, everything is green and clean! A great place for a family picnic or day at the beach!
