“Whole family loved the Sutton Place!”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

Had a great weekend experience here in July 2012 for start of family vacation in B.C. Perfect location for exploring Vancouver. Close to everything! Great restaurants, Stanley Park, coffee shops, museums, fun shopping, A short cab ride to other sites in Vancouver. There is a wonderful place for crepes around the corner. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Very comfortable beds. Our kids loved the big pool and hot tub. After a long day, I appreciated being able to order a cold Canadian beer poolside. Kids and I loved swimming laps. Beautiful lobby with gorgeous fresh flowers. Will stay here next time in Vancouver. Also if you are driving into B.C. from here, my suggestion is to rent from Budget downtown (Georgia St). We got a great rate on a SUV, and they will reimburse your cab fare to get there. And the staff there is also 2nd to none. Have fun!

Room Tip: Request a room with balcony.

stayed here the past weekend to supplement my stay on points at another hotel. got the priceline hot rate. even at 169 this hotel is not worth that much. it is old and stale. they are badly in need of some modernizing like flat screen tvs in the rooms. changing the colors and decor. it is just old and stale. you can stay for the same price at newer modern hotels that have nicer amenities. found the staff to be very uppitty and snobbish.

Stayed here as a stop over to start a cruise. A great price booked direct. One of the few hotels in the area with 2 queen size beds. Fresh flowers in the lobby changed daily. This is now our Vancouver hotel.

I stay here probably 5 or 6 times a year, just have to say I love this hotel. yes it might need an update here or there,ie. the TV's. However the location is just so convenient to everything, and the staff is 2nd to none, Hotel bar Gerrards is very cool. This time in I stayed one night in the Hotel the other night in the residences. The Elevators take a bit more time on the Residence side and some of the rooms could use an upgrade but a lot of the floors have had their rooms nicely done over the last little while. If staying at the residence side you might want to ask for a room which has been redone. Anyway stay here you won't be disappointed. I also stay at the Pan Pacific once in awhile and that is a pretty great place too.

Spent 5 days here in July 2012 and had a great experience. The hotel is wonderful, the staff so very helpful and the rooms comfortable, as are the beds. I will absolutely stay here again! The hotel is conveniently located and I was able to walk wherever I wanted to go!

Room Tip: Getting a hotel at the back of the hotel (mountain view) is much better than the front. It was quie...

Stay here. It's that simple. Location is terrific - central (walking distance to Canada Place and Granville Island Ferries) and close to all Robson Street has to offer. Facilities were top-notch; we particularly appreciated the self-service laundry; the gym and pool are great and the business centre even has a machine to print your boarding passes. Where the Sutton Place really excels, however, is its staff - every single member we interacted with (check-in, concierge, cleaning staff, porters) were genuinely friendly, helpful and proactive. Not only that, if they saw us waiting to speak to the concierge, bell boys/porters etc would offer to assist us with local knowledge. Carly on the concierge desk is an absolute gem - her recommendations were excellent. Great facilties, great location, great atmosphere.

Room Tip: There are non-smoking floors - so ask for that if you want. We had twin beds at no additional costs...

I've stayed with the Sutton Place twice now and I felt compelled to write about the quality of the entire experience. Accommodating to each guest individual needs. During our stay my fiancé broke his arm and they were up in our room every couple hours with ice packs and to make sure we were comfortable. It is beautiful here especially around Christmas with their lights and Christmas trees. Accommodating to pets as well. The vallet would walk our dog while we were out ( on request, and of course we tipped accordingly ). I don't mind spending the money to be completely content with our trip. Not one cent of the cost of anything at this hotel did I feel was not well earned. The parking was reasonable and in a secured underground lot, the food was delicious, and the upgraded room well worth it! You can't breat the location either steps away from Robson Street( fabulous shopping). Also the restraunt across the street "Joeys" was excellent and convenient.
