We loved our stay at the Sutton Place Hotel. It was a home away from home. The continental breakfast was great, The staff more than friendly and accommodating.
There is also an excellent spa attached to the hotel.
We spent one weekend there then came back for 5 more days the following weekend I felt everyone really cared that we were there.
We travel often and this hotel is at the top of our list, now. Vancouver is wonderful and the people are the most friendly in Canada.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main tower once on the 11th floor odd number and the 14th floor even, both were gr...

Annoyed that I have to pay $ 15 per 24 hrs for the Wifi connection while I pay $ 260 per night. Cheap and midrange hotels usually do not charge extra. Do not understand why "upscale" hotels do! Really annoying,

Beautiful hotel so close to Robson Street. Very clean and spacious room. Bathroom was well stocked and large. The extremely comfortable bed was finished with nice linens. Good choice of in room movies too.
Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent the first day of our honeymoon at The Sutton Place in Vancouver for one night in the main hotel. The room was spacious, luxurious and very well resourced. We then returned for a 3 night stay at the end of our honeymoon, where we stayed in The Sutton Place's Grand Residence - executive suites. Our suite was huge, absolutely breathtaking and so comfortable and homely that we didn't want to leave!
The suites are equipped with full kitchen, high quality coffee machine, dining area, lounge area, large bedroom with very spacious and comfortable beds and an outstanding wetroom bathroom.
Breakfast at the hotel is very comprehensive and good quality. We also ate in the main restaurant one night - the food was lovely and there was live entertainment as we ate. The hotel bar has a wide variety of drinks and mixers and is comfy and appealing in a traditional brandy and cigar room style.
The hotel concierge and check in staff are excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. The valet parking is worth the extra charge, we barely waited for our car to be retrieved and all was handled very professionally.
The hotel itself is perfectly located for downtown Vancouver and the nearby shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: If you have a problem with heights then request a lower floor, this hotel has 18 floors I think, we...

i am from Vancouver, I have stayed at a few hotels before the Sutton (the other hotels cant compare!), but after my first stay here, I have stayed several times since. it is a beautiful hotel, with good pricing. The staff are very friendly, and always care for their guests. The hotel is very clean! and the location of the hotel is great! walking distance away from Granville. I never had problems in my nights staying here, everyone is polite, and I always have a warm welcome from staff, they really do make your stay that much nicer.

Room Tip: ask for the modern suite, those rooms are very nice.

We had purchased a rate deal through Travelzoo, however could not make the timing work. The staff were very helpful and worked out an arrangement allowing us to extend our timing; they really rate a top line rating for their help!

On arrival at 3 PM after a 7 hr drive, the staff were very friendly and willing to help...right up until we got to the front desk. We were 15+ minutes checking in...a longer story for another day other than there was a maintenance issue with our room and the staff person we dealt with has an opportunity to improve their customer communication skills. Suffice it to say the problem was solved by the manager with a room upgrade, but no one told us about it until we got to the room - what an opportunity missed.

The room was stellar, staff was great from cleaning staff to room service; including checkout.... The only odd item was the round about way you need to access the pool; a bit of a design flaw. Overall the experience was really a 4.75/5...

Room Tip: The east side seems to have a lot of sirens...fire/ambulance close by?

We came to Vancouver through the Rocky Mountaineer railway trip . We came from Scotland and we met another couple from Edinburgh at the airport who were doing the same trip on the train as us . As we had not booked transport from the airport to the Sutton Place Hotel we were offered a stretch limo to take us there , so we took it as we had never been in one before .What a great experience at the start of our holidays . When we arrived at the hotel we were met by the porters , who took our luggage to our room . We then checked in then went to our room , which to us was the ultimate luxury , great room with lovely double bed and lovely bathroom with all the facility's that anyone would need . The food was nice and staff were very friendly and the desk girl was very helpful . To my wife and I it was just a great Hotel . Easy to access downtown Vancouver . My wife and I went on the pink tour bus of Vancouver , which was great with the driver telling you all the interesting places of the city . Anybody coming to Vancouver for the first time should do this as it it is great way to learn about this great city . We never used the spa so couldn't comment on it .

Room Tip: My wife and wouldn't hesitate on using this hotel again . We were on the fourth floor and looked...
