Owner description: Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

We walked all around Yaletown and had a ball ! Each of the neighbourhood areas have their own characteristic and this neighbourhood is stunning !

We walked and cycled through Yaletown which has quite a few apartment blocks surrounded by gardens and views of the water. The streets are treelined. There are some nice restaurants.

Yaletown managed to avoid most of the high rise apartments and has transformed an old warehouse district into eclectic bars and restaurants. A great place for lunch, especially The Flying Pig - great "steak sandwich" recreation.

Went through on a Sunday afternoon expecting lots of shops etc... not happening. Better places in town abound. This is evidently fine for eating but anything else... forget it.

We lived in the Yaletown area of Vancouver just as the area was growing and morphing into the cool, hip place to be, with restaurants, shops & boutiques. From Yaletown, there is easy access to the Seawall and of course, the Aquabus to Granville Island. It is a fantastic place to live and to visit.
Why are we not still there??
