“An eclectic market in the middle of a city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

Granville market has everything for every one . There is some of the best food available from surf to turf and all kinds in between .I enjoy going just to look at the great seafood displays . The fruit and veg do not take a dack seat nor does the meat .. Bakeries abound and fantastic ,
, crafts are everywhere . Last dut not least is that the island has several working boat yards and marinas and boats, big and small are everywhere . There is more .Too much to mention , A must see .

“A lively part of Vancouver not to be missed.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

We visited it in a gorgeous sunny Sunday and it was great!
Crossed the bridge at Granville Street, enjoying superb views of the False Creek. When the bridge finishes, go downstairs. There you'll find a nice park, the Fisherman's Wharf, the amazing Public Market and many places for admiring the stunning views of Vancouver, the Burrard Bridge and other great spots.
We love having meals in public markets, besides admiring the colors and variety of the fruits, vegetables, cheeses, fishes, flowers and all kinds of fresh products.
Here, again, the experience was rewarding.
Something nicely unusual was to see a couple in their bridal clothes posing for pictures in the middle of the market.
I could even use free Wi-fi connection.

“Nice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

This was nice, but I must have missed what the big tourist draw was. From Coal Harbor it was about a 30 minute bus ride and it just seemed to be a large farmer's market. Fortunately I needed some snacks to stock our hotel fridge with and lucked out with some excellent sourdough rolls and tasty cheese, but I could have gotten similar items much closer.

“Beautiful Market”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

We were able to walk to this location from our hotel. You can also take a water taxi.It has a great indoor market. We were amazed at the high prices for most things. Produce was the exception. There were a few sitdown restaurants and they were very crowded, even at mid-afternoon. We had street entertainment from a Cuban salsa band. Quite good. The cement plant next door was a distraction. Worth a visit if you have a little time to kill.
