We stayed at their queen corner room, it was nice, a little bit small compared to other hotels but it had a small living room with sofa separated from the bedroom. Location is near the skytrain, around 5 mins walk. It had starbucks, cactus cafe near the hotel.
One thing to take note is that we asked the front desk if phone call to local numbers are free and he said yes, but upon checking out, we were charged for the phone call and when we told the lady on duty that time, she answered - well, it's just a dollar. She definitely missed the point, our point was why say that it's free then charge it?
Other than that incident, our stay was good. Room was comfortable and great bathroom amenities. Love the division of the living room, bathroom and bedroom.

I stayed one night. It's an old hotel, probably could use updating in certain things ESPECIALLY the shower and the internet connection. The service however is very very strong. The staff are excellent. The food was good, hotel is quiet and bed is very comfortable. Showers could use more pressure maybe a bit of updating, but the hotel is very clean and I would stay again.

Room Tip: Get a corner room.

I just spent four nights in this hotel in Vancouver which is very central. Not big, very quiet across all the hotel. The personnel was the most polite and helpful I have seen in a while.
Suite was well appointed and comfortable.
I highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Vancouver

Stayed here in August 2011 as part of honeymoon. Really special service, they took a parcel delivery for me several days before we arrived. They also gave us free chocs and red wine in our room as it was our honeymoon. Didn't try the restaurant, we got breakfast at Tim Horton's which is only 5 mins walk away. A very comfortable room with a good view of downtown Vancouver, ideal place to stay after a long transatlantic flight and a good base to explore Vancouver.

Wanted to find a nice place to spend the New Years Eve in my wife's hometown. This hotel had a pretty good special going for that night,,,and good availability. We requested and received a quite room on the upper floors. The room (although it was a suite) was a little small. Good bathroom amenities. Very poor wireless signal (but, it was free!). The bed was comfy,,but for the queen size, it was two twins put together. We both felt the 'crack' in the middle.
Good service. Valet was good, too.

Terrific experience! This hotel has terrific value. A boutique hotel with fair and affordable rooms. Very clean, modern, spacious and the staff were exceptional. From the valet staff to the check-in counter to the wait staff at the Copper Chimney restaurant, My gf and I enjoyed a great stay over the xmas holidays. Can't wait to go back!

A great hotel overall, will definitely stay again. Great room, bed, and clean. Room service was great food (we had breakfast), and the location is wonderful. Very close to both the waterfront (a few blocks north), and right across the street from a Starbucks, the mall, and Robson Street (shopping) was 2 blocks south. The only comment we'd have was that it took 4 tries before we finally got a quiet room. The first room that we'd been given was directly in front of the elevators. The next room we were given was an adjoining room, that we could hear the couple next door. The third room we were given was directly behind the housekeeping room, so you could hear the banging of trolleys against our bed wall, and the employees chatting as they came and went. Finally, the 4th room was great. It was at the north-west corner, a 1 bedroom queen suite, and was so quiet. It was a little frustrating that, even though we specifically stated that our purpose was to just have a relaxing, quiet stay in a quiet room, it took so many tries to get a quiet room for us. Especially since we found out that they were only 30% full that weekend, so it should have been pretty easy to get it right, at least by the second time! But I think this hotel is mostly for business travel, so is vacant on weekends, and perhaps they don't put their most experienced staff at the front desk. Everyone else was lovely and on the ball (concierge, valet, housekeeping, room service, etc).

Room Tip: Choose a 1 bedroom queen suite at the north-west corner if you want quiet. It's got an alley on...

Dear Marga88ca,

Thank you for sharing your hotel experience with the TA community, I wanted respond to your comments regarding your guest room; not knowing what room type your initially booked, some rooms are more susceptible to noise than others, two of which you experienced.

The room that you describe as a queen in the NW corner is one bedroom corner queen suite which is one of our premier rooms. I have passed along your feedback to our Housekeeping Team to be always conscience of the related noise that can occur when they access the pantry on the guest floor.

We hope you will visit us again.

Barbara Hicks
