“Before and after alaskan cruise”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We made the best choice possible in selecting the St Regis Hotel! It was excellent in so many ways! Accommodations were outstanding, staff just magnificent. Everything including location, transportation availability, Canada Place, shopping, sight seeing, & restaurants. All the staff we met were supurb/great. Nelson and Gary were standouts - they made suggestions/arrangements were immediately accomplished. We stayed twice prior to our week long cruise to Alaska. Five days before and 2 nights)after our cruise. Just GRAND and we would recommend St Regis anyone and everyone! George & Donna - happy guests!

Room Tip: We stayed in rm 110 & rm 511. Either was most satisfactory, rm 511 was more spacious.

We stayed at the St Regis for 3 nights in mid-June. The hotel is well located near to the sky train station and is not too far to walk to lots of nearby attractions such as Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and the nearby Gastown area.
Check-in was efficient and friendly and when we entered the room (Queen Standard) we were pleased with the size of the bedroom, which was perfectly adequate for a city centre hotel, and the amount of storage space. The bathroom was lovely - large and very clean, with a decent shower and again lots of storage space.
The free WIFI was quite patchy and I didn't like the fact that the only plug socket close to a mirror was in the bathroom, but they are only minor points.
The breakfast was great - although there were only 3 main choices, there were lots of variations within the choices, so even my husband who doesn't eat eggs was happy! We also ate in the bar and found the service and good to be good.
I would recommend the St Regis and would stay there again.

We stayed here for 1 night this past weekend and chose this hotel based on reviews and proximity to Rogers Arena. The location was great, close to shops and the attractions on Granville Street, which is blocked off for pedestrians and local buskers on the weekend. The only downside to the location is the traffic and noise. We had a very small room on the first floor and it was very noisy being that close to the street. The room was nice and the bathroom had a great shower and was almost as big as the room! The breakfast is a nice addition although our order was "lost" and when it arrived, the eggs were so cold it was obvious the order sat and was forgotten. They did promptly replace the eggs with some fresh ones. Other than that, the service throughout the hotel was first rate. Everyone was very nice and helpful, especially the doormen. Overall, it was fine for a one night stay, but I would want a bigger room on a higher floor for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Get a room on a higher floor to avoid street noise.

Located just a short walk from the sky train makes this establishment ideal for anyone who does not plan on having a rental car. It is located in the heart of downtown and getting around Vancouver is really simple. My only gripe is that everything was smaller than appeared on website photos. Rooms had that boutique vibe and was very clean. Entire staff from concierge to housekeeping to managers were very accommodating and helpful. Gotham Steakhouse downstairs was phenomenal!

We had a great 2 night stay at this hotel. The location was fantastic. Close to the skytrain and everything else you could possibly need during your stay such as 7/11, drug store, liquor store restaurants etc. The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The two restaurants in the hotel were exceptional and the a la carte breakfast that was included was very good. The free international telephone calls were a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the St Regis, as it was conveniently located, close to the convention centre, and also within walking distance of many of the Vancouver attractions. While it was a bit noisy at night, being a downtown hotel, it wasn't, other than on one night of our 7 night stay, too much to deal with. The staff was very helpful, particularly Gary, who assisted me in getting tickets to the hop-on-hop -off trolley as well as to various sights that I wished to enjoy. The included breakfasts were very good, the free wifi was an added bonus. The rooms are a bit small, very European in that concept, but the shower was big enough to be a venue for a cocktail party!

Room Tip: The upper floors are quieter, but with the windows closed the noise isn't too bad at anything ot...

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great start to our holiday. The location is perfect for Downtown Vancouver, parking easy and all the staff we met were so helpful and friendly. A special mention for Gary who helped us find a doctor when we needed one pretty quickly.
