The staff here was very friendly and helpful, a huge plus in a new city. They answered several of my questions by phone about the area, local transit, etc even before my stay so I could be well prepared. The room was great, enough space and a well stocked bathroom. Where we stayed was very quiet so we got a great night's rest. We only stayed for 2 days and when we put up the Do Not Disturb sign all day to decline service to the room, they left a message just in case we needed one or two things. That was nice. They even broke my dollars into the correct amount of change for the bus so we'd be ready to go at the bus stop.

I was surprised by the breakfast here too, you are seated and served by a great staff who are obviously very busy but keep everyone happy. You have several options for breakfast and leave with a full stomach for the day.

Free WiFi that is reliable is a huge plus in a foreign city where roaming is expensive! We could plan our day at the hotel. We didn't use it , but saw long distance phone calls were free too.

Thanks St. Regis!

Stayed at St Regis during the last week in July. We had arrived from the Rocky Mountaineer. First impressions were of a very efficient and helpful attitude from staff at Reception. A gentleman from Reception took our cases whilst we went up in the lift to our third floor room. Lift can only be called by using your room card. Good security policy. Room was clean, bed large and very comfortable. Noise negligible, our room faced Seymour/Dunsmuir. Only slight noise from revellers on Friday night. Ample wardrobe space. FREE international calls and WiFi, excellent option. Lovely large bathroom with massive shower well laid out with free fluffy robes. All the usual equipment, hair dryer, ironing board, safe and good chair and writing desk. The only thing I would suggest as a minor issue is bring your own shower cap ladies as none in bathroom! Only other thing was no fridge in room and no milk to make drinks. Staff did offer to give us some milk sachets but we always forgot to ask. Minor issue as breakfast included and it was quite varied menu. Only surprise was that in the land of delicious maple syrup there were no pancakes on the menu. Staff highly professional exceptionally keen to advise on restaurants, best transport to reach attractions, calling cabs and even information on location of nearest post office to get a card to our daughter in USA. Seemed to be a competition on which Receptionist could get to the outer door first to assist you out of the hotel! Well done Gary for consistent, advise and reaching that door to the street before we could! Loved staying at St Regis and Chris and I thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Carol Ann

Thank-you very much for your review and kind words about our hotel. We are an independently owned and operated hotel and our team takes great personal pride in making sure that every stay is memorable. Great reviews like yours are an outstanding reward for all that hard work.

We're always eager to hear what you liked and how we can improve--thanks for your suggestion of adding pancakes to our breakfast menu--they certainly do go well with Canadian Maple Syrup! Please don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have any other comments about your stay. We look forward to the opportunity to host you on your next visit to Vancouver.

Warm regards,

This is a great hotel in downtown and close to the subway. The staff was great, room terrific, and lots of extras. They have free long distance, wifi, and the breakfast is fantastic! I would stay there again for sure! The decor is modern, the shower super nice, and robes are always a plus.

Room Tip: Our room had a view of the next building but that was not important to us.

We chose the st regis from the views on trip advisor and we certainly are glad we did! I can honestly say that this hotel is right up there with the best we have stayed in, on arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome and at ease, the room was fine free wi-fi free international calls, a free breakfast again one of the best . This hotel has attached its own bar/pub plus high class restaurant, the staff are all Very helpful especially Garry who was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us very well. I can highly recommend this hotel conveniently positioned in the wonderful city that is Vancouver.

I cannot say enough nice things about the St Regis. They have an excellent, attentive staff; the rooms are the cleanest I ever experienced, full internet and long distance phone service included, and finally, a full cooked to order breakfast. All this at a very reasonable rack rate. The hotel is in the center of a town that is as clean as the hotel, with most sights within walking distance. My wife and I had an extraordinary three days in Vancouver, in no small measure to the quality and exceptionally high standards of the St Regis.

Room Tip: All rooms are good
