“First Class accommodation in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2010

The St. Regis hotel is a great location in down-town Vancouver. Easy walking access to The Waterfront, Gastown, the Canada Line rapid transit, shopping, great restaurants, car rental agencies, etc. We stayed there twice, at the beginning and then later on while on a trip to BC. The rooms are extremely well appointed, modern and comfortable. For us an included breakfast was a pre-condition, and the St. Regis scores well here also. They offer a daily complimentary buffet & coked option, with eggs any way you like. Marvellous! Staff were always pleasant and extremely helpful. All in, a great experience.
The only slight issue was that for our first stay we were in a room on the first floor which looked out on a noisy central heating / air con. machine. We did not complain, but when we returned we asked or a high floor (there are only 5) and were given a room on the 4th, floor, which was excellent.

I travel to Vancouver frequently and have always stayed at larger hotels, this time I decided to try this hotel for a change and was quite pleased with the result. I had met my sister at their lounge prior to my stay, that is how I found the hotel. I liked that it is close to the Canada Line and close to downtown. I also liked the decor, however I found the mattress a little too uncomfortable. The breakfast was nice too!

We stayed for three nights and every day was a pleasure. This is a great price, great hotel, great staff and great location. The room are small more like European style, were clean and nicely decorated. I would recommend it, and did, to my friends and family.

Stayed here for four nights on a recent Seattle/Vancouver trip.
The hotel is very central-rooms a bit dark in decor( but that's a personal taste thing). Great breakfast, friendly service, FABULOUS big bathroom with a great power shower.
We had very noisy neighbours on our first night ( TV and loud chatter from 4-6 am??!) and were immediately offered another room. We decided to hope for the best; the manager informed us that they were moving out anyway later and the following morning looked at us hopefully as we left for the day when I was able to tell him we'd had a great night's sleep. He seemed genuinely relieved and delighted.
The staff at this hotel did everything they could to make our stay brilliant-including lots of good recommendations for places to eat. First class.

They did it right when they renovated. I was impressed at the quality of our room. From the outside you have no idea. This is a boutique hotel but has been turned into a very modern place. We had a big walkin marble shower. Close to everything downtown. Parking is a hike away but the skytrain terminal is right handy.

The St Regis is the best kept secret in Vancouver. Their staff are the secret ingredient that makes this an outstanding choice, if you are on business or on holiday . An added bonus is that a full breakfast is included in your stay and you are not gouged by hidden charges - free bottled water - great service - wireless internet that works and every room is newly decorated and gorgeous. Personal attention to small details makes this hotel a leader in the hospitality industry- someone out there is actually getting it right!
I just wish it was pet friendly.

I traveled with my Fiance, her mother, and a family friend. We had two rooms, both of which were on the first floor. However, we were happy to find that the first floor at this hotel, is actually the 2nd floor, and so we were not on ground level. The rooms were very clean, modern, and well appointed.

The hotel is excellently located in the center of the city. It is a short walk to Robson street and Granville street, both of which we enjoyed walking down. There are also convenient buses to Gas Town, Stanley Park, and Granville Island Market.

The staff provided excellent service, and the complimentary breakfast was much more than I expected. The breakfast includes freshly cooked eggs (cooked to your liking), potatoes, and a choice of breakfast meat. There is also a self-serve area which provides cereal, cinnamon roles, drinks, yogurt, and fruit.

All in all, a great experience at only about $130 Canadian per room (with AAA discount).

I have attached photos to this review to help illustrate.
