Housed in a storefront along a commercial strip, this restaurant does not give a hint of what is in store for you if you give it a chance. Once in the door, you remain skeptical. The furnishings are pedestrian at best but the native art on the walls provides some hope. Then you are greeted by the most friendly and accommodating staff you could imagine and you think it will probably be all right because the tables are full with reservations and you can see the food--the real reason you come to a restaurant. Unique dishes, top quality ingredients, wonderful presentations, proper portion sizes, and reasonable prices. Best in Vancouver? That might be a stretch except for the fact that customer satisfaction is an absolute certainty.
