“Nice Hotel, Nice Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

A clean, centrally located facility and although it lacks a good dining room there are dozens of food places, of all types, close by. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Not sure why they require a minimum of 200 characters for one to do a review since most places are either acceptable or unacceptable and this one is exceptable. So, I will just write some letter and words to meet the requirements of Trip Advisor. Let us start by saying, it was a dark and stormy night.......

Room Tip: Take a cab and ditch your car.

Stayed 2 days in Vancouver after an Alaskan cruise. Disembarked the ship early in the morning and was wondering what we were going to do with ourselves and all of our luggage for several hours before 3pm when we would be allowed to check in. We contacted the hotel in advanced to see if we would be allowed to check in earlier but was told the were not able to guarantee it but they would be able to hold our luggage if they could not accomodate the early check in time. We decided to try early check in any way. When we arrived the entire staff was very pleasant and courteous-they had no problem checking us in early and did not charge anything extra for doing so. Check in was speedy and efficient. Our room was on the 19th floor, was very large, and had great view of the mountains and the city. A great location-15-20 min walk to Stanley park through beautifully landscaped and tree lined neighborhoods and streets. A great location for those who don't mind walking- about 15-20 walk to any of the points of interest (Olympic torch, gastown, Canada Place, shopping district, Stanley Park and aquarium). A bit far from Granville island but easy enough to catch the bus and 20 min ride with all the stops included. The bed was quite cozy after a busy week on a boat with numerous pillows and soft sheets. The showers were wonderfully hot and had great water pressure. The hotel was quiet considering people were checking in and out at all hours of the night and there were a number of convenience stores or pharmacy close buy in case you forgot something or need to replenish. Has a restaurant in the lobby that we did not try (thought it was quite pricey) but an amazing Mongolian BBQ restaurant across the street that was a bargain compared to other restaurants in the city and the food was delicious. I can not say enough good things about this hotel-would definitely stay here again if in Vancouver.

Room Tip: Found on booking.com was able to reserve for free and pay when we checked in

Brilliant 2 day stay here this past week. Fantastic corner suite with 2 queen beds, large mirror wardrobes, office desk, large chair with foot stool and mini fridge. Could not ask for a better room. The view - phenomenal! Pictures added.

Great location and clean rooms. All of the staff were very helpful during our stay especially Matthew with his unique ability to open two sets of double doors at the same time! If we visit Vancouver again this hotel will be top of the list.

This hotel is great. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Excellent location. Good price. Only $36 in taxi to airport. Huge rooms with great view and the biggest safe! Very clean. The beds are so comfortable. The hop on hop off bus stops directly outside. We did not use these though, just walked everywhere. We ate at Coco Rico across the road which was excellent.

Abode breakfast was very good but I would not recommend the regular coffee for the extra dollar get a coffee drink ,price was good for the hotel location and quality of the room .You can tell this Hotel is old but they have done a good job of renovating.

I visitted Vancouver for the first time to run the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon in May 2014. I chose a location close to the finish line on West Pender over the internet and was not disappointed. The room was simply outstanding. I was blown away by how bright and airy the room was. I had a room with 2 double beds that were really comfortable. It had free internet, a fridge, wall safe and an amazing private balcony. It was such a treat to sit out on the deck overlooking Robson Street and soak up the sun. After the race I took advantage of the hot tub, pool and sauna. The hotel is clean, upscale and ideally located. If I return to Vancouver I will definately return to this hotel.
