The Burrard Inn was the last stop for us on a 2 week Alaskan vacation. We stayed 2 nights, for what I felt was a great rate.

We went straight to the hotel after disembarking the cruise ship, and since that was quite early (9:00 am), we weren't sure if they would have a room ready for us yet. However, the front desk cheerfully upgraded us from a queen to a king free of charge so that we could check in immediately. The front desk staff are extraordinarily helpful--everything from a great downtown map, to tours and attractions, to tickets for the train / bus / trolley, to recommendations for restaurants. Every piece of advice they gave us was spot-on.

I love the look and feel of the Burrard! When we were dropped off by the taxi, it didn't look like much from the outside, but once we stepped in to the lobby, it was perfect! Very modern / chic / hipster feel to the place, but we didn't encounter a single annoying hipster--perfect! The hotel has a 'motor court' set up, with room access from an outside courtyard on all 4 levels. The courtyard was very nicely appointed, complete with sitting tables, plenty of shade and greenery and even Jenga games to keep you busy! Ice machines and buckets are available, and their house toiletries are quite nice. The hotel doesn't change your sheets each day unless you specifically ask them to, but since we were only staying 2 nights this was not of concern to us.

The room itsel fwas extremely clean and had plenty of space for our 4 large bags. Free internet, complimentary bottled water (with a water cooler in the lobby for refills) and a nice flat screen TV in the room. Free use of a computer and printer in the lobby...I'm telling ya--for the price, this place can not be beat. Location is within walking distance to GasTown, China Town and many other nice things to see. Vancouver is a great walking city.

I can't emphasize enough the difference that friendly, helpful staff makes when staying in a strange city, and these folks do customer service right. Need a taxi? No problem, we'll call one. Need a liquor store within walking distance? Got it! Thinking of doing a tourist attaction? We'll recommend one, and get you tickets! Fantastic service and stay--would highly recommend this place to anybody traveling to Vancouver!

Very good rates. Good location, close to robson, yaletown, and gastown. But not too close to skytrain station. Rooms are clean but on the smaller side. Very modern but still has a motel feel. Front end staff were very friendly. Only issue is that we stayed for 3 nights and had to ask for more toiletries each day. Blinds and curtains do not really keep the light out in the morning. Would recommend.

Thank you for your recommendation and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in the hotel as well as around town. Your feedback on toiletries has been noted and discussed with the team - this is not indicative of our normal level of service and we will work to ensure this does not happen again, for your future stay and that of our other guests. We appreciate your taking the time to write us a review.

The room, location and price were very nice. The transformation from a 50's motor inn to a hip uptown hotel is definitely charming! Our only concerns were that when requesting the 2 free bottles of water which were promised in their add, we were told that they were out of the bottles and that water was available in the lobby. (a cooler which was almost empty) Also, the free coffee available in the lobby only had pods of decaf. Once again we were told that they were out of other coffee. As silly as these concerns may seem, they did have a negative effect on our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main street if noise bothers you.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are sad to hear that you did not get our fabulous bottled water and that we were out of our delicious coffee in the lobby, but are happy to hear that you enjoyed the renovated rooms and the rest of our amenities. Your comments have been noted and we are working to improve our inventory management so that even the busiest of weekends are full of free amenities and that you do not miss out on your next visit. Thank you again.

When I first viewed the exterior, I questioned the authenticity of these reviews. However the interior matched the photos and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even when I was a little late returning (toured Stanley Park, got back in after the 1200 checkout time) - they had no problem with my tardiness. The room was really nice and comfortable, complete with a little nook that does a great job as a desk.
Even a little oversight such as not replacing the shower curtain was very quickly resolved - they addressed it right away.
First time I've seen signage like what they have here - a great sense of humour.
They treat the customer very well. If I return to Vancouver, I will definitely try to return to this place.

We stayed 2 nights in June and were really pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. The management was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver. It is also central to a lot of eateries and shopping. Very comfortable.

Dont be put off by the exterior, inside it's clean and calm. Just what I needed which was a good location, free Wifi, coffee in the room and very helpful staff. If you don't want to spend a fortune on an impersonal chain hotel then this is what you want.

Found this cool place in the edge of the downtown core, close to Davie Street. Close to good places to eat, interesting local colour and shopping. This former motor inn had lots of nice touches like a 42 inch flat screen, IPod docking station/alarm clock, espresso machine and Wi-Fi. We had a great sleep in this clean and comfortable room Nice patio area that seemed to float above the parking area. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was fun to stay here.

Room Tip: If there is an event in town, book a little sooner.
