Stayed at the Burrard because of it's price point and the fact it is central in downtown Vancouver plus the fact we could borrow bikes for free!

Most hotels in Vancouver are high end and pricey and as we needed to stay somewhere for 4 nights, we needed somewhere more affordable. If you want something like a high end 5* hotel with all it's extras, this is not for you. Burrard offers simple, no fuss and comfortable rooms with a motel feel but we really enjoyed our stay here.

We were on the 4th floor and we asked to be away from the main road and we slept like babies. Couldn't hear a peep. Rooms are compact but comfortable and we had a king-size bed. Bathrooms are clean, practical and also compact. They give you 2 bottles of water in the fridge and to be more eco-friendly, they encourage you to fill up with drinking water on the lobby floor - we loved this as we are water guzzlers and it was great to be able to fill up when we needed to.

They have Brooklyn Cruiser bikes to hire on a first come first served basis but there always seemed to free ones so no issue. Loved cycling around Vancouver and one of the Burrard staff explained the best route to cycle the Seawall. It was amazing, one of the best cycling routes and the weather was just perfect. Appreciate the hotel having bikes available for this.

There's no restaurant attached except a small cafe - there are so many fab places to eat in Vancouver for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there's no need to have a restaurant at the Burrard! Small cafe next door was good for coffee and we grabbed a quick bite for breakfast on the day we left.

We found the staff to be really helpful, very responsive on email as well as in person. The only negative I would say is that we sometimes found the room a bit stuffy as the windows only opened a certain distance and there's no AC and ventilation was not the best. However, I think the hotel has addressed this as there was a fan in the cupboard which we used once. It helped but in general, I prefer more airy rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the highest floor (4th) and away from the main road.

Service staff were great, my room was clean, and the hotel is located in a central location! My bed was very comfortable, I slept very well. Free bike rentals (first come first serve); easy to take advantage of the awesome bike lane networks in Vancouver. There's a free nespresso machine in each room for your use, and free bottled water included with your stay.

Head's up I give is if you are a light sleeper, try to request for a room away from the main street; it gets pretty noisy at night, especially if you're staying on a busy night. Other than that, I have no complaints about this hotel!

Having a bicycle for free is really a plus in Vancouver.
Get a room inside the building… really quite and lovely garden!
In addition, the hotel is close from nightlife and shopping areas that can be visiting by foot

Fine for 3 nights, but this was rather disappointing in that it is like a motel not a city hotel - a rectangular box building of 4 storeys around a courtyard with a garden and parking garage. Noise from guests in the courtyard until 4 am, loud music plays in the courtyard from 8 am, décor tries to be "trendy" but just disguises the basic nature of the motel-like room. It was the most expensive and smallest and least satisfying room we stayed in throughout our trip to Western Canada. More suited to youngsters who might appreciate the "cool" ambience and late night partying.

A wonderful little jewel of a hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Hip and cool with very comfortable rooms and an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Its small but, big hearted with a magical inner garden and private doors to each suite. Beds are profoundly comfortable and the amenities in the room are exactly what you need - from the free bottled water to the single brew coffee maker.
There is also a great little cafe/bar attached to the lobby for snacks, light meals or a cold beer.
The only thing missing is a shoe polishing machine for the lobby.
Great find.
I have stayed in the hotel about 8 times over a period of two years and have never been disappointed.

Was not what I expected. The website is very misleading. We barely seen a single person there during our stay. Whats with all the sexual connotations. why isn't there a bar and a proper comfortable restaurant?

I stayed here for the first time on a night out with a friend. I wasn't sure what to expect because the outside was rather blah. The rooms were great though. Very chic! They definitely put some thought into their renos, wanting to bring a smaller hotel up to a higher level. The bathrooms aren't much but they are very clean, which is really important to me. There was a nice courtyard (each room is entered from an outside - Melrose Place style). The staff was great and there's a nice cafe downstairs where a DJ plays on the weekend. We came in a bigger SUV so parking was tough. They have two levels but only small vehicles can go on the lower level. We ended up parking just down the block and it's actually less than parking at the hotel so it worked out. Good location, but you can hear the sirens from the hospital across the street.
