Great place if you want economy and centrality. Focused in young people but a good hotel, well renovated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe next door dies a great pot if leaf tea. I believe the coffee is good too.

Fun hotel that has a great location, excellent staff and a vibe that makes it all memorable beyond the basics. This appears to be an old motor court type hotel that has been polished into a hip mid-century modern unit with a vibe that makes you smile and enjoy. Great coffee bar shares the property, so stop in for a morning snack or a pick-me-up later in the day. You are close to public transportation and great restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: Stay back from the main street if possible so you can sleep with your windows open.

Having the cruiser bikes to explore the city, Stanley Park, Granville Island and the night life was the perfect addition to a very clean and well located Hotel. The Staff was a 5 star as well, not a single complaint!

A unique hotel/motel in the heart of Vancouver in walking and biking distance to all. Free bikes at The Burrard is a huge bonus! Staff and front desk were top-shelf with suggestions on local restaurants (all were great!).
One thing to ask about is how the air conditioning works. This is a unique device that requires ice for cooling and you should use a timer since once the ice runs out the unit heats the room instead!

We spent one nite at The Burrard prior to boarding our cruise ship heading for Alaska. Had a quiet nite of rest on comfortable beds with great pillows. While we were on the front side of the building, we had no problems with noise. The rooms were clean n spacious enough with a portable a/c. We had access to free WiFi AND FREE phone calls to anywhere in North America!!! Parking was available but had to remind the clerk we were advised that it would be complimentary!!! The only problem we saw was that it advertises, and we were told over the phone, that there is a "restaurant next door"!!! It is NOT a restaurant but a little shop that sells rolls and salads. We were close to a variety of restaurants within a couple blocks of walking which was ok. If one anticipates sitting down to a meal next door after a long days' drive, this ISN'T going to happen. We had little refrigerators with complimentary cold water inside!! Coffee makers were on the counter.

Great hotel, great location to city center n the ship pier. The staff were helpful and as another reviewer said..."some a little more smiley than others"!!! Would stay again when in the area.

Very nice and helpful desk staff. Complimentary bikes were much appreciated! Rooms are a little small (as well as storage place for luggage), but were clean and comfortable. Nice patio and breakfast place next door.

I had a wonderful stay at the Burrard in late June while on holiday in Vancouver. We did a multi-centre holiday and this was by the best hotel of them all (five in total!) The location is brilliant, the rooms are clean, spacious and recently renovated and the rates were very reasonable. We did specifically request a room at the back or side of the hotel to be away from the road, but noise wasn't a problem at all during our stay.

The staff were also very helpful (although some a little more smiley than others). They were always happy to help out with directions, tips and anything else we needed.

Rooms come with a portable air conditioning unit, which wasn't a problem for us as the weather was warm but not extremely hot during our stay. There's a coffee machine in the room which is fine (better than a kettle and sachet of instant anyway!). I also loved the set up with water, a bottle in your room and if you want it, a water cooler in reception to use to top up your bottle to save from wasting plastic. The hotel also has free wifi and offers loads of other services such as free calls and TV channels should you want them.

For a hotel in a city centre at that price, the hotel itself and service were above and beyond. I've paid more and got a lot less for hotels in the past! I can see why there are so many good reviews and why the hotel has won TripAdvisor awards!

Lastly a tip for anyone who does stay there, try the Templeton Diner for breakfast (http://thetempleton.ca/) it's just a few blocks away - good service, great food and good coffee! The blackberry and brie bagel was one of the best things I ate on my trip!

Room Tip: Probably best to ask to be away from the road. We put in a request ahead of our stay which ensured a...
