I was extremely pleased with the excellent service provided by all of the staff we encountered. A small mix up was made, it was my error when I checked my booking later (which made me feel VERY sheepish) but the staff swiftly corrected my silliness and I was not charged extra. So professional and courteous. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and was within walking distance of so much to do. I would absolutely stay again. I'll be back for shopping therapy!

One gripe though, I didn't require it but a friend with me who works remotely did- the WiFi was an extra charge. For the price and quality of the hotel, it was surprising that WiFi was not available without paying more. Disappointing for the age of technology.

I stayed three nights at the Hyatt on a business trip. Spacious and comfortable room, helpful staff, and a great location in Downtown Vancouver. Excellent restaurants nearby and easy access to the Skytrain, buses and floatplanes.

The conference rooms had everything we needed and the conference catering was some of the best I've experienced.

Lovely to be able to relax in the rooftop hot tub at the end of a long day.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have pleasant city views.

We spent three nights at the Hyatt Regency, Vancouver at the conclusion of a two and a half month holiday in Canada. We were quite rundown and the Hyatt was an oasis where we were able to rest and relax before the long flight back to Australia.

Having said that the hotel was overrun by surly teenagers the first day or so which made the lifts slow and the lobby overcrowded. At the conclusion of their conference conditions improved dramatically – a return to what you would expect of a hotel of this calibre.

The location is very good – central to all downtown Vancouver. We were able to walk to all the major areas and attractions.

The staff were all very pleasant and professional. The front desk was able to accommodate a 6pm checkout at a reasonable cost and an electric kettle was delivered promptly to our room upon request.

Our King Room was large and airy, with plenty of luggage space and sufficient room to still move about freely. The safe was large and was able to accommodate the usual travel paraphernalia, two laptops and considerable photographic equipment. The only downside was the old, thin towels - these are in need of immediate replacement!

The gym was much better equipped than the usual hotel gym with four treadmills, bike and cross trainer as well as elastic bands, free weights and a couple of benches. We didn’t use the pool but the hot tub, almost a small pool was great! My only gripe is that parent’s shouldn’t let their children muck about in the gym when people are actively trying to use the equipment! Bloody annoying when Mum is standing their drinking her Starbucks, still in her dressing gown while her kids run amuck!

The breakfast buffet is expensive but very good, definitely worth trying. There are some different choices to the usual breakfast offerings.

On nearby Howe Street, a short walk from the hotel is the Greek owned “Scoozis”. When you have been travelling for a long time or are just in need of some vegetables, this is the place for you. We ordered their deep dish selections on two occasions and were never disappointed. The typically Greek dessert offering (even at breakfast!) was a lovely gesture, and the service always personal.

The “Cactus Club” on both Burrard and Robson Streets has reasonably priced food and “Salam Bombay” also on Burrard Street has tasty Indian food in a pleasant setting.

Based on our experience we would certainly return to the Hyatt Regency when next in Vancouver.

Recently spent three nights over a weekend for more of a city get away. I have to say as nice as the facility is, it was the staff that really made us feel welcome and appreciated as guests. With out being overbearing, the staff we encountered were accommodating and helpful. Its a central location easily within walking distance of many fantastic restaurants and shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable making this hotel an easy "definitely recommend".

We traveled there during off season around Christmas time, but the hotel was decorated very nicely. They did upgrade our room to suite which is actually two hotel rooms connected with a door. It was very spacious and comfy. Their breakfast area has spectacular view through surrounded window. The food was good, and the service was good. All the good restaurants are nearby. Definitely go back to this hotel!
