I stayed here with 2 adult daughters and we were very comfortable and pleased with this hotel. Room was roomy with 2 beds, full kitchen, and small balcony. There was a continental breakfast with very basic items that you brought back to your room to eat due to limited space downstairs. There were plenty of places to walk to for all meals. Staff has plenty of recommendations if you are interested.

We were in Vancouver for our daughter's wedding and so chose a suite hotel to be able to do some entertaining of guests. We were very pleased with our suite (livingroom, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom) althought the bathroom is small. Everything was clean and comfortable, kitchen was very well stoked with dishes and appliances and there was loads of storage space. A small balcony was great for sitting out with a morning coffee. Internet was free. The hotel provides a light breakfast buffet which we also appreciated (e.g. bagels, english muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, etc) that you can collect and take back to your suite. Later in the day they put out a big jar of jelly beans -- which we ate way too often!! We found all staff to be very helpful and friendly. A big positive about the hotel is its location on a quiet street but its only a 2-minute walk up to Davie St which has a huge range of with restaurents, grocery stores, and other shops as well as being a main bus route. A couple of blocks in the other direction takes you down to the beach. Two minor negatives: (a) they have a small exercise room but the equipment is quite old and sqeaky -- so I mainly used only a treadmill and the hand weights, and (b) manuevering a car into the gated parking areas, especially the underground floor, is very tricky even with a small car as there are tight turns and small parking spaces. However, the big positive about parking is that its free and 2 out of 3 parking areas are gated so great for overnight security. The hotel is in an area of town where long term street parking is not available except to local residents and most other hotels that I considered charged at least $20 per day for parking.

We stayed in Sunset Inn and Suites for two night in early September and didn't regret the decision. It is in an excellent location, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots PhD good restaurants nearby.

The breakfast wasn't great - if it is your big meal of the day, thou are better off seeking out elsewhere.

We drove to Vancouver B.C. from Oregon and opted to stay at the Sunset Inn and Suites. The location of this property is very good. It's walking distance to downtown Vancouver and to a rather eclectic neighborhood that is a mix of restaurants and stores. The entire area is alive with people.
Our stay at the Sunset Inn was for two nights. The room we had was well equipped with a small kitchen which included a stove; a microwave; and fridge. The Inn also provided robes and slippers. The room was clean and provided us with the necessities we needed.
The Inn does not have a restaurant. It does provide in the main lobby a continental breakfast (coffee; juice; rolls; cereal, and fruit) in the mornings for you to choose from. In the evening, I noticed they provided jelly beans to nibble on available in the lobby.
Parking is accessed from the alley behind the Inn. We drove an SUV which we had to maneuver in order to successfully park in the space provided.

The hotel itself is on the older, less modern side, but it's staff, rooms and location made it feel like home. The suite was cozy, well equipped and comfortable in spite of it being a little cramped in the bathroom, bedroom and balcony which had the air conditioner sitting on it making it almost useless. The location is great! Very centrally located, in walking distance from the beach, park, downtown and the inland harbor. There are also tons of restaurants and shopping within a couple of blocks. Breakfast was lacking and had to be taken to the room but we made up for that by going around the corner and purchasing what we needed to cook our own breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen.
