I stayed at the Delta Vancouver Suites for 3 nights on a business trip last November.
The location is great for business and sights.
Rooms were clean and spacious with the usual Delta attention and consistency.
Had a great casual meal at the tiny restaurant/lounge which has a nice feel to it.

The bellman was courteous and helpful - it poured rain 1 day and he provided an umbrella and directions.
Overall a good experience and I would recommend it without any caveats.

Room Tip: remember to upgrade the room if you're a Delta Gold member...it's worth it.

We opted for the pre-cruise package at the Delta Vancouver Suites on West Hastings Street, ideally situated near Canada Place and the dock, so close that we did not use our taxi chits. After a tasty breakfast, we strolled with a single bag each on a short, 5-minute walk to board our Alaskan cruise ship, the Radiance of the Seas, docked at Canada Place.

The hotel is close to other downtown amenities: shopping, art galleries, theatres, Stanley Park, Rogers Arena and BC Place Stadium. The hotel staff was courteous, check-in in the ultra modern foyer, a breeze. Two thumbs up!

We spent 2 nights. The hotel is lovely, clean, and close to everything. We didn't need a car even.

The hotel breakfast was delicious and relaxing. Remy was our server. She was personable and went outnof her way to help me and my husband with questions about the city. She also was prompt. Another fella spotted me Cristmas Eve morning, waiting for the restaurant to open. He was cheerful and got me a cup of coffee while the kitchen set up. Then, out came Remy who was wonderful.

Allison is the concierge. She helped us locate food on Christmas day(difficult since thr whole city shut down), and called facilities to set us up with snow tubing on Cypress Mountsin. She brings energy, friendliness and knowledge to her job. Super helpful and personable.

The fella who met us at the door before check in was also very welcoming. The front desk folks were great too.

Room was spacious, clean and perfect.

We travel alot, and this was such a great place to stay. We will def stay here forever, each time we go to Vancouver. The only drawback is no pool, so lap swimmers cannot swim there. Had I stayed an extra day, I bet Allison would have been able to hunt one down for me :)

We requested an early check in as we were arriving at 6am, we were told that at least 1 of the rooms would be ready, upon arrival both rooms were ready & we were upgraded to a suite. The staff were very helpful with directions, what to see & where to eat. The rooms were very comfortable even though slightly out date. The location was wonderful, easy walk to Gas town, and the ship terminal. The price was a little over the top but we were only there one night & the convenience of our rooms being ready early, being so central & the very friendly helpful staff I guess made up for the price.

We checked in on December 21st for our annual Christmas trip and were warmly greeted at the check-in desk. We arranged parking in the covered lot across the alley from the hotel and were told the elevators were not working. We had to haul our luggage up from three levels down to get to the hotel entrance which was not pleasant. Granted, this parking garage is not operated by the hotel so it has no control over the function of the lot, yet we still had to pay the full rate to park ($28-Saturday, $33 each day-Sunday to Wednesday). I would have thought the hotel could have arranged a price break for guests because of the inconvenience. Our room was on the 12th floor and offered a nice view (between buildings) of the water and North Vancouver in the distance. The room itself was comfortable and clean with ample space to spread out, if so desired. The hotel is located within a short walk of many downtown attractions, Waterfront Station, Gastown, Canada Place, Pacific Place Mall, and Robson St. shopping.
Keep in mind that this hotel is dog friendly and this is where we encountered our most glaring issue. Even though we were told that only 20 rooms were occupied during our visit, they chose to put guests with a small dog immediately next to our room. Every time the human guests left the room, the little dog would bark and howl the entire time they were gone. We believe they shut the dog in the bathroom because his barks were loudest through the air vents. Why they decided to put a dog in close proximity to other guests when there were ample other rooms on different floors available is beyond me. I would have loved to give this hotel a higher rating because it is comfortable and convenience, but lack of consideration for their guests dropped them to an Average level.

Room Tip: We were in room 1212. Nice waterview between buildings.

Dear Traveler rstandly,

Thank you for taking the time to answer our survey and staying at the Delta Vancouver Suites.

We apologize for the inconvenience that you've encountered during your stay. Operation wise there is a lot of factors that could have led us to put all guests in certain areas of the hotel due to maintenance of other suites. We apologize if the guest had maybe requested that specific room and by cause of the pet not allowing you to completely enjoy your stay.

We hope that you are able to consider the Delta Vancouver Suites for a future stay, and feel free to contact me directly upon making your next booking to ensure that your stay is pleasurable.

Warm Regards,

Didn't like the service we got. Were told one thing by one person and totally different by another, they dont seem to work together in customer satisfaction. Was no hot tub, for the price you think they would at least have one. Rooms were great otherwise, nice clean and large rooms. Enjoyed the overall stay, minus the crappy service.

Very nice rooms. I like it when you plan to use a place as a base to explore the city you are in and surrounding areas-and everything works out. Convenient, classy-one of the nicer Delta's that we have stayed in.
