The good is the location, but front rooms very noisy facing Burrard. Older places have poor noise insulation. Rooms of good size, with kitchenette but few to no utensils to use so why have the kitchenette. Paint flaking, pool area also tired and needing renovation.

Hop on hop off bus has a stop right out the front, very handy.

Average at best, get what you pay for.

Dear Blackies62,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your room's kitchen facilities as well as its grand size. It's something we feel sets apart from many other hotels in the city. Unfortunately the downside of being right in the centre of downtown is that there is some city noise. It's not a constant noise all night, but we do understand that some guests are more sensitive than others and we will always do our best to move your room to a more quiet area if one is available (It's best to request this in advance).

Sorry about not having enough cooking utensils in your room! We are currently doing another audit and will be ensuring that the proper supply is ready for guest use. For those rooms that need extra utensils, there is a sign in the kitchen that mentions to call housekeeping, and those will be provided for you at no additional cost. Our pool was also recently renovated just a few years ago, and the pictures on our website are recent. We're sorry that this had left you disappointed. One of the benefits of our pool is that we don't use chlorine, it's actually 'ozoneated', which is better for our guests health and the environment.

We're glad that you enjoyed our location and your visit to Vancouver and hope that you will be back.

Our best,
Management Team

After a small cruise room this room with a kitchen and sitting area was a welcome sight. It was across the street from the Hop On Hop off buses. 10 blocks from the cruise terminals. Very helpful staff. They had free internet in the lobby.
Since it has a kitchen, we walked a blocks on Davie street which had a drug store with groceries, great for getting a few snacks and breakfast items. The same area had great little neighborhood restraurants.

We booked a standard room on Trip Advisor/Expedia for $149/night which was a good rate for summer in downtown Vancouver. When we arrived we were upgraded to an executive suite on the 30th floor without even requesting it! We had a voucher for free parking from Trip Advisor, so that was another bonus! The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was ideal - very close to Robson.
Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Request a room with a view - ours was spectacular - we had a 180 degree view of downtown, the water...

Terrific suites. Spacious, clean, easy walking distance to core downtown (5 or 6 blocks) good section of town, competitive rates. Friendly staff but no free Internet. A Market Place a block away with great food if you want to save a few bucks. Spa services competitive for a big city but if you walk over to Granville street you can get hair and nails done for half the price.

We always get exceptional service from the Hotel staff and Management and that is why we have been staying at the hotel on an annual basis for over 15 years. It's like a home away from home and the views from the upper floors are spectacular. With regards to value for money, they are hard to beat. They are situated in the Downtown area with all the amenities close at hand. They have a small ozone pool and well regarded Spa facility in the Hotel but no gymnasium/ fitness area however the YMCA is only two streets away. They always try hard to make our stay enjoyable.

I was attending a conference but the designated hotel was very expensive. This was cheaper, although not cheap. My room was very spacious and all of the facilities were in very good condition. Excellent views from the 18th floor, and very quiet at night.
Location was good-an easy walk from Skytrain and midway between Robson and Davey.
