The Century Plaza is my fav place to stay when I visit Van. I love the kitchenettes as they are so convent and make the room feel very homey. The rooms boast a great view of the city and are very spacious with a good layout. The service and staff are consistently excellent and a huge factor as to why I keep coming back. I really have nothing negative to say about my stay even the coffee in the cafe was coffee. I look forward to my next trip to Vancouver.

Great stay-cay location! Nice clean rooms. Great views from 24th floor. The kind staff were very accommodating for traveling as a family. Would never find this quality of hotel for the same price in Victoria!

Read some of the reviews about the rooms being a bit dated. That is true but I was not here for the upholstery. Great location as you can walk to the Aquabus and get over to Granville Island. The Beyond Restaurant served up a dinner that was outstanding. We used Travelzoo which included $20 a day credit for the restaurant and would sign up if the offer became available again. Free Wi-fi was a good signal strength and free parking was a real bonus as parking can be very expensive in Vancouver. There were sirens as mentioned in some other reviews, but my thinking is that if you encounter some medical condition is is good news to be just down the street from St. Paul's Hospital as opposed to being in Likely, B.C ; ) Request a room higher up to minimize this; on the 28th floor it isn't too bad and the views are breath taking.

Room Tip: Executive suites higher up are the way to go.

As always, the staff at the CPH were courteous and helpful. The location is excellent. The rooms are adequate and clean. The swimming pool is great and the Ladies' locker room is clean and well supplied.

Room Tip: Bring your bathing suit :)

We stayed for four nights in September starting our tour of the Canadian Rockies (including the Rocky Mountaineer). The hotel had been chosen for us but it couldn't have suited us better! We arrived before check-in time but we were able to leave our luggage securely while we went out for some lunch. We were allocated a room on 28th floor with wonderful views over the bay to North Vancouver and Vancouver Island. The room was very large with two double beds, kitchenette, chairs, table and flat screen tv. Bathroom a little small but adequate with individual toiletries. Always kept clean.
We ate breakfast in the Beyond Restaurant each day and found it very good with a plentiful supply of coffee! We also had a meal there on our last evening and the food was excellent and well presented.
There is no room safe but you can 'rent' a drawer at reception for free although it is slimline so won't hold cameras! Piece of mind for bank notes, passports and travel documents though.
Wifi is free.
Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful without exception. Abdul, a concierge, was especially helpful. We bought our hop on hop off bus tickets from the concierge desk at a cheaper rate. They also booked a restaurant for my husband's 'special' birthday meal and gave us a voucher for a free drink there!
It's very easy to walk anywhere from the hotel.
We would certainly stay there again if we return to Vancouver. Thank you

This hotel occupies a great location amid the attractions of downtown. You can walk to Robson or Granville Streets, the Aquatic Centre and False Creek Ferries and the Convention Centre. While it's a good value, you only get what you've paid for. The Plaza has been here for decades, and it shows its age. The rooms (a corner suite is preferred) are spacious and comfortable but the paint is chipped in places, there are dents and scratches in the wall and the carpet will likely have stains on it somewhere. That said, the beds are comfy and clean and the kitchenette with fridge, coffee and tea is always appreciated. I've dined in the restaurant and my meal was well prepared and reasonably priced. If you're here to enjoy Vancouver, not your hotel, this place might suit you. I will happily stay again.
