“Great Hotel”

Bedroom needs AC, or may I just did not know where it was. Everything else was great. Your location was amazing and walking distance to everything and everywhere I needed to go. Great staff and nice environment.

We had a one room suite for our stay. The suite was huge with large lounge, kitchen and large bedroom. It was spotlessly clean and staff were attentive and helpful. The kitchen has a fried so a good idea might be to get some milk as all hotels do seem to think one drink a day is OK. The hotel is close to Robson Street and to local restaurants. The hop on hop off bus stops outside, so touring is easy. There is 15 minute walk to the water front with good transport links. Local cinema is also close by. TIP book early to get best deal and press for free upgrade.

Pretty modern lobby that smells nice. (Smells like the spa) Good concierge service. Accommodating staff that allowed us to check in early. Spacious and clean room. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores. About a $10 cab ride from pier where cruises launch. Free wifi in room which can be used to connect multiple devices.

Helpful courteous, friendly staff made for a pleasant stay during a stressful time.
Beyond restaurant selections had enough choices to satisfy different appetites. Staff always courteous and friendly.

But being from Canada and being on bicycles and nut filtering the media we made the mistake of coming to Vancouver on BC weekend without a room reservation. The only hotel with availability was wildly,I mean wildly, over priced and made minimal accommodation for us. Other guests complained about the hotel while we were in the elevator, saying their friends had better accommodations for a better price elsewhere.

The Century had rooms the next night, Sunday night so we moved there. Jesse the Bellman warmly greeted us on our arrival, and said to let him and the other bell staff know if there was anything they could do for us. It set the tone for a much nicer stay than we had had the night before for a small fraction of the price.

The staff were also very accommodating about our bicycles, and there was plenty of room for us and our equipment.

Overall a good stay

Burrard St is a good place to stay. This hotel seemed a lot older than the others around it, and the rooms - although clean and comfortable - have quite a bit of street noise, especially the lower floors. The windows are in need of replacing! We had a One Bedroom Suite - heaps of space, well equipped kitchen, 2 TVs (although we didn't watch them!), but tiny bathrooms. Despite all this, I would have given the hotel 4 stars, as we were very comfortable here, but the reception staff are not particularly friendly or welcoming, along with the breakfast staff (we stayed 3 nights but only took breakfast on one occasion because of this!).

This is a charming, family-owned hotel that offers all the amenities and style of a first-class resort, including pool, spa, restaurant and cafe. It is located in downtown Vancouver, convenient for people who wish to explore the city by car, bus or on foot. The views from the upper floors are spectacular, and all of the rooms are large, with most having kitchens or kitchenettes. Although the hotel is aging, it recently was remodeled so that the lighting, beds, and bathroom facilities meet contemporary standards. The elevators or small and somewhat slow, but efficient enough. The staff is uniformly friendly, helpful and seemingly happy with their work. The restaurant, though pricey, offers excellent service and food, as does the cafe which is great for lunch. In-room coffee and wifi through the hotel are an added plus. I have stayed here many times and will definitely stay again.
