We spent 7 nights in this hotel, we were happy with our choice. The location is good, we were able to walk to many attractions, and it was so easy to catch the public transports to other attractions located further from the city.
The hotel is pretty quiet and cosy.
Mr Khaled and John were so helpful and attentive, it was good that we had a chat with them before starting our tour. We have to thank them for their recommendations, putting full effort for helping in making so restaurant reservations and arranging our transportation to various tourist spots.

Shared a weekend at the Landis a few weeks ago with our brothers and sisters.
Four adults in two of the suites. We chose the suites that had two bathrooms
cause of course there were two ladies :-) Everything about the hotel was perfect
for us! Rooms were a good size, all the comforts of home, complimentary
breakfast, although not extensive was good. Location was ideal, we walked
everywhere we wanted to go. The only negative thing I could say is that when
we used their free shuttle the driver was rude but I am prety sure that the shuttle
was not owned by the hotel. They might want to speak to the company that does
own the shuttle tho.

Room Tip: get a room as high up as possible as it gets noisy on the streets at night

I'm surprised looking through previous reviews at some of the negative ones. In our experience they are very misleading. We've visited Vancouver many times and this is the best place we've stayed in. The location is good, contrary to some opinions. Centrally placed for downtown and walkable to English Bay and Stanley Park.
Value for money it's excellent. To get 2 bedrooms (including one massive King Bed - excellent for 2 children - for us in the UK it's a size up from our King - bigger than 2 singles together! Meant there was no need to use the sofa bed so having the empty sitting room for anyone going to bed later or waking earlier was great). Plus separate dining area (with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides) and small kitchen is excellent. Bigger than most downtown private apartments!
Sure the kitchen isn't overly stocked with equipment but had we wanted anything we could have asked. (We saw someone do so and the staff were very obliging). Certainly washing up liquid and dishwasher liquid was provided so I'm not sure why a previous reviewer had to go and buy it! Surely you ask first?
Beds very comfortable and rooms very quiet (no noise from other rooms at all - and I'm particularly sensitive to noise in hotels!).
Having breakfast included is good. Yes, it's pretty basic but it was just fine for us. And the pool (shared with the Marriott) is great. We had it to ourselves.
The staff were lovely. Very friendly and very accommodating. We were able to get a late check-out ('til 1pm) for no cost which was very helpful. I appreciate this wouldn't always be possible but when it is they are very obliging.
Safe underground parking is available at a cost but that's consistent with most Vancouver hotels and still excellent value when you factor everything in. WiFi is included free and seemed to work just fine.
All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Landis and would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: The higher floor you can get will get you a better view so it's worth asking.

Our family spent 5 nights here in October. Its a good location, just a couple of blocks from the city centre, and in a relatively quiet street. All the amenities we needed, and the complimentary breakfast was very handy. Staff were great, and complimentary shuttle for the city centre area very handy.

I stayed here for only one night...to meet a friend heading back to Australia. When comparing to other hotels at this price point, it came down to "waterview maybe or 2nd bathroom"?...2 girls traveling & getting ready for the airport made it easy...2 bedrooms/2 baths. Excellent choice! I've always stayed Robson/ Coal harbor end, but was pleasantly surprised by this location.
Front desk service is excellent ( esp. Khali & John)...Friendly,welcoming, helpful and very accomodating. I got the impression from hanging in the lobby ,that they have alot of repeat clients, and that's a good thing!
Shuttle service free in the downtown core an added bonus, and made the carting of luggage to the skytrain a snap! Easy access to shopping;sightseeing;Yaletown,..and the Granville Island ferry a 5 min. walk down Hornby...perfect!!
The hotel provides a pool& hot tub & exercise equip. shared with Marriott Residence...(the carpet pattern shows which is which when debating which glass door to key through). Not lots of stuff, but good quality and totally sufficient. Pool & hot tub area clean!!!
Continental breakfast is exactly that...Cereals, breads, muffins & pastries, yogurt & fruits & juices...and of course tea & coffee. We brought ours upstairs to our room. A nice addition would be boiled eggs ( for those like me watching their carbs )
The 'suites' are great!!! We had a 6th floor 'deluxe' (corner suite) with a view to the Hornby/Davie intersection. I found it fairly quiet, considering location. The windows DO slide open ( at least in the dining area)...and comments prior, regarding sirens...well I think you'd hear them anywhere, depending where they are..they're meant to be loud!) This suite could easily be lived in long term stay, with a full sized kitchen ( although perhaps lacking some cooking supplies for that type of stay) We didn't use anything but the coffee maker and a couple of dishes, but a dishwasher & full sized fridge & stove would be a bonus for more than a day or 2. The bedrooms are nicely furnished, beds & pillows are comfy. One 'king' bedroom & one 'queen'. Bathrooms also well done, and clean! King room's bath has separate shower from tub, and dual sinks...nice & spacious. The other shower/tub combo & single sink. The Living room/dining & extra sitting/ glassed in balcony make for a very roomy & comfortable stay. TV isn't lacking...each bedroom& one in the living room. Definitely an AWESOME spot for anybody with kids who wants to be able to have some privacy!!....or for those who like 'space' :)...because there's lots of it! I found all areas to be clean & well kept. All staff encountered were friendly.
I will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it for location & quality of service! NO REGRETS! Free wi-fi another bonus :)

Room Tip: Pay the little extra for 'deluxe' over executive for the extra bathroom :)
