Good central location. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a bedroom and lounge room with kitchen facilities - fridge, microwave and stovetop plus full complement of crockery and cutlery. Good views from our 12th floor over Vancouver. We found the beds a bit uncomfortable and the air conditioning was very loud and right next to my ear keeping me awake. The wifi was not included in the price which I was disappointed with. There is free wifi in the lobby but this is very slow.
Rosie's Restaurant on the ground floor had very good food at reasonable prices.
The fitness centre is quite public and I chose not to use the pool for this reason.

We arrived by car from our tour of the Rockies for a 3 night stay. As soon as we pulled up a young French door man came rushing to meet us. He helped unload our car and took us to the receptionist. She told us that we had a complimentry up grade! We thanked her and said that was nice as it was our anniversary. She then logged into her computer again, went to speak to some one and up graded us again! We had a fabulous room on the 21st floor with a balcony and free breakfast. I paid for a day Internet as it was not free.
The room was beautiful. And the view was fantastic. The kitchen had every thing you needed, and the coffee machine was great! We had a huge king size bed which was super comfy. The bed linen and towels were so white and fresh.
The hotel is in a good position for all the sight seeing.
The Internet was my only disappointment, it kept logging off all the time. We told them at reception and they refunded my $5
We ate at Rosie's one night and it was ok. Their Internet was great, so I just logged onto theirs in the lobby each day to check my mail.
We used the swimming pool and sauna one morning and that too was very good.
Vancouver is a great place and this hotel and it's friendly staff make it some where I would Definately stay again.

We stayed with our 2 kids (8 & 10) & found this hotel very nice & really good value. Our room had 2 queen bed sized beds, with a separate area holding a sofa/sofabed & kitchenette. Kitchen was very good for its size - 3 hob rings, small oven, good fridge, microwave, toaster plus kettle, and even provided tea towels and washing up liquid. Laundry rooms are available and although we didn't in the event use this facility, this was a factor in choosing this hotel - always handy when you have kids. Housekeeping good, rooms & all areas & facilities we saw were very clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful, gave good advice. Kids had great fun in the pool (usual sort of hotel size, depth varied between about 3 & 4.5 ft, deep enough for swimmers and not too deep for non swimmers!). Hot tub lovely & sauna ok (when switched on!!). Steam room not working on one visit. Good location for attractions, shopping and eating places. Closest option was the onsite Rosie's Pub - food was nice enough, service a bit variable. We noticed a couple of 24 hr fast food chains around the corner, but there are loads of other places within a couple of blocks. For grocery basics there is a small store by hotel entrance, & 7 -11 across the road. Really pleased with this hotel - spent ages looking at loads of 'suite' type hotels, and this turned out to be a great value option and a very good experience.

The location was the best part and even with a car it was very easy to get in and out of the garage. The beds were comfortable, the rooms very quiet, and the little kitchen space was very handy for simple cooking and having a fridge handy.
One disappointment was when returning on friday night after a lengthy hike in the mountains, changing into our bathing suits to go to the steam room, we were informed that it was closed for maintenance, along with the sauna and pool. Went back to our room disappointed.
Housekeeping services were very good.
One evening in the bar (Rosie's) the female bartender was excellent, the next day the male bartender was too hung up on visiting with friends. Had to ask for service, then ask for refills, then ask for our check.

RosedaleGM, General Manager at Rosedale on Robson, responded to this review, 10 June 2012
Thank you for taking the time to write your comments. It seems that your stay went well. As for the pool area being out of service, unfortunately a guest had soiled various areas of the pool. For safety's sake, we closed the pool area so that we could do a complete cleaning and disinfecting. After cleaning and performing the proper health tests, we were able to open the pool at noon the next day.

Yours truly

I reviewed this hotel earlier and made comments about being confused. When my comments were made the hotels general manager asked me to contact him regarding our experience. That in itself is the mark of strong management and a willingness to do things better. That shows true customer service at the core. We decided to give it another go and was very impressed with the changes. The room is great and the service top notch. They all are doing such a good job and making our stay here the best. My compliments to the management and the entire staff for listening, adapting and getting it right. If you need to be close to everything in the downtown core this is a great choice.

This all suite hotel is in a great location at the Eastern end of one of Vancouvers main streets. The tour bus stop is 2 mins away. The sea bus terminal 15 mins walk. Our suite had good beds and cooking fascilities after a complimentary upgrade. Friendly, efficient staff.
Watch the Swirling Drevish though! Canadian hotel lavatories are a little problematical for gentlemen. The water level is high in the bowl and the flush produces a veritable vortex of swirling water. The result is wet nether regions if you are a squatter. This phenomenon is not restricted to Rosedale on Robson which is thoroughly recommended for a stay in Vancouver - a stylish city.

Room Tip: Tell the receptionist what you want and leave yourself in his capable hands.
