I stayed 3 nights at end of July. I had a lovely room on 10th floor overlooking the gardens at the back of property. I have stayed yrs ago and had Library side view. Both times I found it lovely and quiet there which is a plus point these days with other hotels not offering the same peace. I was surprised one reviewer said it was noisy-maybe I was lucky not being fire station side? Had lovely large room-2 in 1 really-1 lounge/kitchen and other a bedroom divided by a door. It seemed well soundproofed to me-such a bonus these days.
I would have thought more than 3 lifts would have been designed for such a large building-you had quite a wait each time as they naturally got busy. Several guests commented the cleaning staff could do with a service lift.
I had several breakfasts at Rosie`s-food was ok but service so slow even with 7 tables only with guests-if it ever got full wonder how long you would wait-breakfast usually took 45 mins to complete and thats with a few hurry ups!More
