Stayed there in July. Great location downtown. Near enough everything. Parking garage was cramped & elevators took way too long. So, you had to haul luggage all the way up ramp. 2 elevators broke down which resulted in 20-30 min wait! Not a single front desk person apologized for inconvenience! Efficiency rooms were threadbare & beds, linens were terrible. Even at their price point more was expected. If you can afford an extra twenty dollars a night, look elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. With regard to the elevator situation, we do apologize for the inconvenience. Upon investigation with a Vice President of the elevator service company, it appears that one of their personnel decided to ignore the terms of our contract in that service must be done in a timely manner and at overtime if necessary. What should have taken a short time unfortunately was dragged out by this soon to retire individual. They are no longer handling our account.

Yours truly:

The rooms are of an excellent size with a lounge area.leading to a short corridor with bathroom on one side and kitchen on the other. Complimentary tea and coffee is offered although the tea is a token as there is no milk etc, the coffee maker is typical of what you'd expect, You then have a good sized bedroom with fairly modern fittings.
On entering the hotel there is a bar called Rose' s, it isn't run ny the hotel although breakfast is served there in the morning. It has a good selection of beers and is a great place to unwind after a long journey. There is also a rooftop bar/restaurant on the 3rd floor which is hidden away but well worth a visit. The lifts are.a.bit of an issue as you can easily waste time waiting or travelling up and down in them,.not the best. Top tip. If you use the subterranean parking don't use the 3 elevators which service the rooms. By the entrance to Rosies there is a door leading to an elevator specifically for the parking bays which isn't well used. But will save you a lot of time.Staff are friendly and the service is good. It takes approx 10mins to get to Gastown walking, excellent location.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the terraced/roof bar. It looked over well maintained g...

Comfortable, clean, roos spacious and well equiped (we had a suite incl. bedroom, living room, small kitchen and bathroom), quiet, well located, helpful staff,... All very good, no major drawback.
And I would add that this is perfect for families with young children as you can can cook your own meals and avoid the hassle of going to restaurants in the evening.

Our three weeks in Canada ended here and it was just fine.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and whilst the living space was not large as others have said in their reviews, you don't visit a city like Vancouver and sit in your hotel all day surely?

I am surprised at some of the comments about staff not caring or being bothered as we experienced quite the opposite. The Housekeeping team were smiling and efficient, the Reception Staff likewise and the porters were always helping people with their luggage and sorting taxis.

Finally, for a hotel that some say don't care about their customers, I'd like to say thank you to Kristina in Guest Services who went above and beyond the call of duty to make our visit extra special.

After arriving we were told our room would not be ready until 4pm the only time we experienced this while travelling during our holiday. The rooms were clean & comfortable. Having the living area on entry to the suite does mean you cannot hear any 'hallway' noise however it does mean the sitting area is dark & not relaxing to sit in so it does depend what is important to you. Be prepared to use the stairs as waiting for a lift takes a long time. It was disappointing that you can only use the Wi-Fi for one device this too was the only hotel where we came across this. An average hotel in a city.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay in July 2014. We arrived weary at 3pm after 6 hours of flying to be told our room was not ready, and would not be ready until 4pm. Grrr. This was the ONLY negative of our entire 4 night stay.

Once we did check in at 4pm, we were upgraded at no charge to a deluxe suite for the inconvenience. Our room was terrific - on the 13th floor with a wonderful view of Robson Street!

The layout of the room made for the most restful and enjoyable stay I have ever had at any hotel anywhere. The room door opened into a small living room with a flatscreen TV a couch a desk and chairs. At the end of the living room was a small kitchenette, with this area separated by another door that opened on to the light, airy bedroom. The two doors between the hall and the bedroom made for a SILENT SLEEPING ENVIRONMENT. This was a delight as I am someone who is hyper-aware (and resentful!) of all hallway voices/noise, door slams and next door neighbours. The wonderful room layout negated ALL NOISE. Any noise from Robson Street noise was reduced to nothing.

Other neat things about the deluxe room: There were TVs in both the living room and the bedroom. The couch in the living room pulled out to a Queen sized bed. Both rooms had individual temperature controls.

Kitchenette: Included a fridge, small range (stove top and oven), microwave, kettle and cupboards stocked with dishwashing liquid and j-cloth, plates, cups, cutlery, glasses and wine glasses. If you wish to cook anything, be aware that you will need to supply your own pots and pans. The Keurig coffee-maker was a treat, and there was a nice, plentiful selection of gourmet coffees (French Roast, Columbian, House Blend) and Bigelow teas to choose from. Nice touch!

The location of the hotel is fantastic. You are a 15 minute walk into the heart of Gastown, and a 5 minute walk from the restaurant row in Yaletown. Easy walk to multiple public transit stops that will take you to Stanley Park and other awesome attractions. We could see BC Place from our window!

For those cooking for themselves, the IGA grocery store and liquor store are a short 3 minute walk away. There is a 7-11 right across the street fir those late-night last minute needs!

We cannot speak more highly of this "budget stay" hotel. It was quiet, impeccably clean, relaxing and close to everything. Can't wait to stay again!

Room Tip: Go for a deluxe room that has the "two door" layout if you love a quiet, quiet night!

Great central location, close to many amenities and sights. Room had good facilities including cooker microwave and fridge. Also had a great view over the city. Decor was a little dated and the air conditioning was noisy. Fine for the 2 day sightseeing stop that we had

Room Tip: The higher the room the better the view of the city
