“Easy and convenient”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July. It was cheaper because of the construction work either side. As this fell over a weekend it was no problem for me.
Breakfast is a bonus and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are small but clean and sheets and towels changed daily.
The location is the best thing as it's a walk away from all the best spots in the city, including the Skytrain station one block away.

I'd recommend this hotel for any traveller to downtown Vancouver.

Room Tip: I stayed on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel away from the road which was very quiet.

A great budget hotel to stay for 1-3 nights. The construction work next door is a bit noisy in the morning (starts around 0730) and the breakfast is modest - bagel / toast, tea/coffee, and OJ. But the main attraction is the interior design, facilities, and service. The staff on teh reception are very helpful and friendly (24hrs concierge). The toliets and bathroom are shared between the rooms but they are always available when we've needed them. They even have a sauna that we didn't get to try. For the a location in the middle of the city and the price we've paid, it's a bargain! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Furthest away from the construction side.

If you want to get what you paid for, this is the place. If you have lots of money you can find other places, but if you are looking for worthy place this is it. I found no issues at all even though it's peak season, no heavy traffic means relatively quiet with good hospitality and friendly staff. Finding this kind of place is a blessing for my budget. Free morning breakfast, awesome.

Room Tip: worth for your money

I had a room for two nights at the very beginning of my trip in Canada... and decided to come back to the same place for the last two days after four weeks travelling. This is very well situated when you want to walk downtown and in Stanley Park, the personnel is very welcoming and helpful and the rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. My only negative comment would be about the noise in the morning... but I don't know who was responsible: the cleaning team or my neighbours? Anyway, I would recomand this hotel with no doubt. Thank you!

Clean and great location. Friendly staff with a great pub restaurant next door. Shopping and fine restaurants just down the road. Hop on and hop off buses around the corner at the library. Down side no air conditioning just a fan and a lot of noise during the day from construction surrounding the hotel but then you didn't spend much time at the hotel during the day.

The hotel in neat and very clean...love the location, the rooms are small, but you sleep in them..so that's no a big deal..

If you stay here in the summer and you have a room that faces the setting sun forget it...get out and go somewhere else.....and i am sure some of the other rooms are equally as hot...brutal!

There is zero air conditioning, you will absolutely burn up and sweat 92.3% of the night...thay said there is a fan in the room
But I can't sleep with a jet steam and a machanical nice 3.2 feet from my head...
Way not good...to hot

But go there in winter/spring I am sure it would be fantastic

Usually opening up the window and turning on the fan is sufficient enough, but we have experienced several heat waves in Vancouver this summer. If guests notify us that they are uncomfortable in their current room in any way, we will always attempt to move them to a different room if possible.

Despite the building work around, this was an ideal spot. We walked from Canada Place cruise terminal no bother, and found everywhere else we wanted within easy distance. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was very homely.
