This hotel is a great value and they gave us a nice room with a water view. However, they didn't warn us they would have a live band New Years Eve in the dining room right below our room. I realize hotels have special New Years Eve celebrations but you would think they could have told us and asked if we wanted a different room since the band played till almost 2:00 am and we were waking early the following morning to get to the border to avoid the long lines. The Island is interesting and we enjoyed browsing in the market. It is conveniently located for getting around to shopping and dining but you have to drive and parking meters have to be fed 7 days per week to 10:00 pm. Other than the live band, it probably would be a good place to sleep.
