This is a very old hotel, (I think they said it is 100 yr old building) which has been renovated. Even still it is dated. But at Vancouver prices this is reasonable. Room is tiny even for 2 people. Great for one. Bed is good. Breakfast is in the pub next door and not included but there is a 15% discount. Menu is limited. A cheese omelet is scrambled eggs with a piece of kraft processed cheese half melted on top.
Front desk is cool in reception but courteous. Not much information is given. You have to ask for everything. Ie. parking and valet info. Breakfast coupons.
If you like to walk, you can walk to the Grenville Bridge and walk across it to Grenville Is. It's a long walk and tricky to find the entrance to the Island. Once there it's fun to walk thru the market.
The hotel is in the rainbow district of town which may be a deterent but didn't bother us.
