We stayed at this hotel because of the great location. It is walking distance to public transportation, restaurants, shopping, Chinatown, Gastown, and Canada Place (where you can pick up tours including Hop on/off and free shuttle to Capalaino Bridge). The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and offered hot meal choices, the eating room is small but you are able to take your food back to your room. The rooms were clean and included typical amnetiies. This is a reasonably priced hotel for downtown and a great location for exploring. I got a 30 minute chair massage around the corner for $30 and it was well worth it! We were tired and didnt want to use public transportation to the airport, the asst. manager offered to call a taxi for us which was there in a few minutes and was $28 (make sure you ask for the airport fare).
Overall a great place to stay.

This is a great hotel. Well positioned and very comfortable. My partner had stayed here before and really liked it so we went back!
Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful and our room was large with a microwave and coffee machine as well as a fridge (not a mini-bar but a useful cold space!!). The bathroom was large and well laid out with a good selection of complementaries!
The included breakfast is excellent. selection of fruits, cereals, coffee, bagels, pancakes, eggs, the list goes on!
There is free internet access limited to 30 mins and recepion staff are happy to help with printing!
Overall an excellnt hotel with excellent service.

Room Tip: The higher floors have less chance of a window facing a wall!

It's just typical. Typical non-existent view, typical well-lit boring corridors, typical slow carpet bounce, typical simple reception, typical bubbly young reception staff who knew quite a bit, typical guests (mainly middle aged friendly Americans who are afraid of any funk and of elevator conversation), typical room with typical channels all amidst a very comfortable bed. It serves its purpose and the breakfast is alright. Absolutely no communal areas (no bar, no room service), and the breakfast area has friendly staff, lame bagels, great coffee, but no windows. The highlight is the area which is absolutely prime between some great little streets, and the fascinating dark side of Canada: poor 'ol whacked out East Hastings. As no one ever said... "it's hard to criticize toast and vanilla yogurt when all you expect is a simple breakfast..." Or perhaps it's more eloquent to describe it as "Mehhhhhhhhhh".

Room Tip: Try to get a view of a street I guess, otherwise you're facing a wall. 2nd and 3rd floor woudl be better so you don't need to wait for their boring elevator.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. This is a very interesting review and shows the variety of guest's intrests while here in Vancouver. The review states that we do not have a bar or room service. We actually have a great little bar/restaurant right beside us. It is called Yagger's Sports Bar and Restaurant and they provide room service to our guest rooms. Their menu's are in all of the guest rooms and they will actually give you 10% off your food bill if you eat at the restaurant. We are centrally located and close to everything you might want to see/do in Vancouver....so come try us out!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Ramada prior to leaving on a cruise. The hotel was adequate with small rooms, The views, if you were lucky enough to get one, were of a depressed neighborhood, Outside of the hotel, we were constantly approached by the homeless. You dare not go out early in the morning or after dark. When I questioned whether Vancouver was dealing with the problem, the desk person just shrugged. There are many better choice for a stay.

Thank you for reviewing our hotel. Vancouver is the 3rd largest city in Canada. It also has the warmest climate of any major city in Canada. For this reason, we have a pretty large homeless population. So, you will see homeless people in all areas of Downtown Vancouver, whether you are paying $300/night to stay around the corner at a 4 or 5 star hotel or staying with us. Vancouver is a very safe city and all of our guests should feel very safe walking around at any time of day or night. Asking an employee of a hotel if "the city is doing anything to deal with the homless problem" ...this is a pretty broad question and probably could not even be answered by our cities politicians. Again, Vancouver is very safe and anyone visiting should certainly feel safe while exploring this beautiful city.

We stayed at this hotel on two single nights in May and both stays were very enjoyable. The staff catered to whatever needs we had and nothing was a trouble for them. Breakfast was good, not a huge choice but plenty to get the day started. The location was ideal for us, we walked with our luggage from the cruise ship we got off from to the hotel, and then the next day to the train station, which was also very close. The room was clean and tidy, no complaints at all. If we ever make it back to Vancouver this will be where we would choose to stay.

Thank you for reviewing our property! As this guest mentioned, we are a perfect location for anyone taking a cruise! The peir is only 6 blocks away and some guests do walk it (depending on how much luggage they brought for the cruise!). Also mentioned in this review is the train to/from the airport. The train is called the Canada Line, it runs very frequently and there is a stop only 3 blocks from our hotel. The cost is minimal compared to a taxi and takes the same amount of time (27 minutes!).
