Description: Nicli Antica Pizzeria is the first VPN certified Neapolitan pizzeria in Vancouver. Located in the culinary epicentre of Vancouver, Gastown, the brick walls of the century old building are juxtaposed against the design of a bright and contemporary interior. Nicli Antica Pizzeria honours the culinary traditions from four generations of the Nicli family. Chef David Tozer’s menu highlights the season’s freshest, local ingredients alongside a robust beverage program. An experience at Nicli Antica Pizzeria will bring to mind the touchstones of Italian culture — family, authenticity, and incredible food and wine. We look forward to sharing the Nicli family traditions with you.

Went here for a later meal (9pm) with a girlfriend and was shocked when we realized 2 hours had gone by. Th food was delicious from the appy, to main, to dessert and the wine was perfectly paired. I have already raved about this place to a number of friend and will CERTAINLY be back!

Perfect from the week they opened. Great atmosphere; good, clean, bright interior; fresh ingredients, perfectly bubbled thin crust EVERY time. All varieties are
good; we've tried them
all! Antipasti and salads great + consistent too. We've sat at the bar and at tables. Bar and wait staff always competent and friendly; even though
ALWAYS busy!
No reservations- our longest wait was 30 minutes. No take out/delivery because they believe the pizza MUST be eaten fresh with no opportunity to get soggy. It has never been soggy here! Rumour has it that one patron was allowed to pick up pizza and seen personally doing so- long-time, now gone Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo apparently was allowed take-out rights! Naples,Italy: you now have well-established Vancouver, Canada competition!

Pizza a little above average, not a big variety offered (except for the special, which they were out of). It was hard to see what all the hype was about. My friend was treated poorly by the manager while waiting for me to arrive.

I have been here a couple of times. The famed 900 degree oven is its selling point, and I believe it was first on the scene in Vancouver. But I have enjoyed Via Tevere and Roma more. How do you get a soggy crust from a 900 degree oven? The salads are brilliant, plentiful and very fresh. Wine list is extensive and very interesting, Italian is the focus. Service is fun and it is a popular place (no reservations ... which can be a drag because you're never sure if you can get in ... it was busy most recently on a cold Wednesday in February). I did not understand why, when I arrived a few minutes before my dining partner, and there were seats at the bar, I couldn 't be seated for a drink and instead had to wait at the door until I decided table or counter ... apparently having a drink at the bar while waiting for a table isn't possible here. We sat at the counter (bar) in any case and enjoyed our evening, but ... Really???

Had a pizza craving and were told that Nicli Pizzeria was the place to go in the Gaslamp district. Pizza's were traditional Italian, thin with tasty (but not overbearing) toppings. Only thing to consider is that they don't take reservations for dinner, so it's a 20-30 minute wait at times, however they will take your name so you can have a drink nearby and return. Would recommend for pizza.
