For a modest price by city hotel standards we had an outstanding elegent suite.Meals were very good. Service is understated, but excellent as befits a more club -type atmoshere.

Well located for cruise ship terminal and Canada line train from airport- within easy walking distance of both. Can also walk from hotel around seawall and hire bikes for touring around Stanley island. Nice and helpful staff. Attractive, good size room- we had a queen and a sitting room with a sofa bed which accomodated the three of us really well. A good pre-cruise choice. The bellhop with even take your bags over to the cruise terminal ( 5-10 minute walk away).

Don't know about the standard rooms in this hotel. They muddled up my reservation and so I wound up with a suite. I could have run a small sports clinic in the suite, and I was all alone on business.

The setup is a bit odd, it's a former "exclusive club", I guess, but it's in a good location, it's got comfortable rooms and beds, even if the staff seems sometimes a wee bit, well, confused. Not hostile, not rude, just confused.

I have just returned from a week at this hotel. I was attending a conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre and the Terminal City Club is right on its doorstep. I managed to get a good rate through Expedia. The location couldn;t have been better. It was a very short walk to the conference but also to many other places and I think was the perfect choice of location.

My room (806) was a deluxe double with city view but in fact I could just about see the harbour. The room was spacious, with good amenities. I liked having the fridge and microwave but it did seem a bit silly to have to ask for cutlery and crockery and even then they only brought my one plate, a teeny-tiny bowl, a knife, fork and spoon. The water and ice delivery in the evenings was a great idea. The bed was very comfortable indeed and I slept very well. There are only 12 rooms on each floor so not much noise.

Free wi-fi was definitely a bonus. I also liked the bathroom supplies which were high quality. My bathroom was a little small but fully functional. Despite advertising in the rooms that the hotel is environmentally aware and setting out in detail what to expect from the point of view of towel and bedding changes, they still changed the towels every day apart from one. This does annoy me. If a hotel is going to have an environmental policy, then at least stick to it.

Thefront desk staff were nice enough if not overly friendly. Simon in the 1892 bar was very friendly indeed. I used the bar on a few occasions and entertained some colleagues there a couple of times. There was a good choice of wines and a sophisticated atmosphere. I did not eat at the hotel. The leisure facilities are fantastic.

To the people above who say the entrance is not clear and that the front desk is up some stairs, then perhaps they were at a different hotel to me. The hotel is quite clearly marked, as is the front desk which is up 5 steps from the main lobby. Beside the steps is an obvious ramp for those worried about luggage.

My only minor grumbles - I would have liked cutlery & crockery to take more advantage of the small kitchenette area, a mini-bar would have been nice especially as 1892 is only open 5 nights a week and closes at 10. In-room service also finished quite early. Not that I eat and drink a lot but I was on a completely different time zone for the first few days and wide awake until into the small hours.

I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. I have agonised over the scoring and ultimately decided on 4 out of 5 but in reality, it is more like 4.5 out of 5

This is a luxurious hotel with warm and friendly staff. The Terminal City is situated right in a cosmopolitan harbour area where the cruise ships dock and is close to all amenities. It has superb views overlooking the bay as well as the city - particularly stunning during sunset. There are plenty of great restaurants and high end shops close by and it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the main central shopping area.

The hotel has a modern elegance with clean lines and tasteful furnishings giving a feeling of airiness and contemporary luxury. The reception staff and bell hop are all very helpful and make sure you want for nothing. There is a huge secure car park underneath the hotel which is slightly difficult to find when you first drive to the hotel. Although a little pricey, there are some excellent dining options within the hotel including a fabulous wine bar, a grill with outdoor eating area and a very opulent fine dining restaurant.

The leisure facilities are second to none, including the incredible pool which is 25 metres and has breathtaking views of Stanley Park, the harbour and mountains! there's a large whirlpool next to the pool and luxurious changing facilities. There's a well equipped gym and even 3 squash courts! It really is great.

Our room was on the 12th floor with great views of the bay. It was clean, spacious, had a well equipped kitchen, all mod cons, huge flat screen TV etc. There was a large comfortable bed and the bathroom was large and spotless. Overall you were really well catered for with lots of little extras like complimentary fruit, papers, robes, sparkling water, chocolates etc.

I've stayed in other Vancouver hotels previously, but the Terminal City was the ideal choice to spend our final few nights in Canada and I would definitely stay here again when I return. This place was superb!

It maybe because it was late evening when we checked in but the reception and booking although efficient wan not really welcoming. Its like checking in at the front desk of an office building and then staying in a room within an office suite. Good views from our window of downtown vancouver. A pricey and characterless stay.

This isn't a traditional hotel. It's located in a building with some kind of private club, and offices, and residences, and.... It's hard to find it when you arrive, you park in the parking garage and have to tote your bags down a long concrete hallway, the food service and bar(s) seem out of the mainstream to the place and more focused on special events that day-to-day travelers and it just didn't have a warm feeling. Having said that, the location is good and the room was very nice.
